editThanks for fixing the monotonicity issue. I wasnt sure if he meant a.s. or if he was trying to say something about comparing the cdf's of the two r.v's, which would have a similar consequence. But, thanks for taking care of it. - grubber 19:22, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Grande user page!
editCiao Gala,
:-) —Gennaro Prota•Talk 12:11, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

UNZA
editYou wanted to know if the university of Zambia was still open. It is. I live in Zambia and know this for a fact, my mother attends the university(horrible place). It was closed briefly due to elections in 2006 and several other times I believe, it is closed periodically due to riots.Richardczam 12:54, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

User page, donazioni ed altro
editCiao,

My edit to Battle_of_cannae
editI saw you undid my edit to the Battle of Cannae. I think this is worth discussing. The portion I removed, in my opinion, contributes nothing to the article aside from making a suggestion that Schwartzkopf's tactics in conducting the Persian Gulf War were "redundant" -- an assertion, by the way, that is not at all mentioned or supported by the reference listed. Someone added this in and it's complete opinion. My revision left it to the facts -- the the Iraqi army was less impressive than the Roman army that Hannibal faced. Why add all this unnecessary information about -why- the Iraqi army was less impressive as well as a POV opinion that Schwartzkopf's tactics were "redundant"? Ginsengbomb 15:48, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

- Ciao, I left it.wikipedia since I did not like how the "Virign business" was managed. I still contribute on en.wikipedia, although in the last months I have merely patrolled a few articles. This is mainly due to lack of time. Thank you for your interest. gala.martin (what?) 08:48, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

What is Tag & Assess MMVII? We'd better explain. A month or so back, we ran a script to list all the articles in categories related to military history. This gave us about 165,000 articles. Some of these are already tagged and assessed as military history; some are military history but not yet tagged and assessed; some are not military history articles at all. This huge project — working thorough 165,000 articles — is called Tag & Assess 2007. To make it manageable, the list has been broken down into 330 ranges each of 500 articles. This is where you can help. Just... adopt-a-range from the available worklists then keep track of your tally on participants' list. The tagging is easy, just follow the simple instructions. Afterwards, as our way of thanking you, you'll be presented with service awards and barnstars based on the number of articles you process. Remember... the ranges are broken down into sub-sections of ten articles, so you work through them at twenty or thirty articles a day if you wish. To make Tag & Assess 2007 a success, we need your help. Please sign up now. Thanks.

Secondly, although the Tag & Assess 2007 drive is now officially closed, you are very welcome to continue tagging and assessing until 31 January 2008. Any articles you tag and assess during this time will be credited fully to your tagging tally for further award purposes.
Thirdly, if you can find the time, it would be good to have your feedback/comments on the drive at the Tag & Assess workshop

Tag & Assess 2007 is now officially over, with slightly under 68,000 articles processed. The top twenty scores are as follows:
Although the drive is officially closed, existing participants can continue tagging until January 31 if they wish, with the extra tags counting towards their tally for barnstar purposes. We'd like to see what lessons can be learned from this drive, so we've set up a feedback workshop. Comments and feedback from participants and non-particpants alike are very welcome and appreciated.
