Your RfA

I saw your RfA; it's not going to pass, due to lack of experience and knowledge. I just wanted to drop by and say, please don't let this bring you down. :-) Just because you can't pass an RfA right now really doesn't mean that you aren't a quality editor. Otherwise, you seem to be a well-intentioned, good user and from what I read in your RfA, have handled the opposition well (which generally means to not reply to it) – just not prepared for admin tools yet. I would suggest reading about our policy on those topics mentioned at your RfA, utilizing the comments people left, and gain another several months of experience in a variety of areas. Make sure not to rush into another RfA a month or two up the road – give it some time. :) I hope this helps, and good luck with everything, JamieS93 04:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

True wiki guru

RE "Cleavage" I am afraid you don't have a dog in the fight. Your reversion was uncalled for and in fact my edits were *very* constructive--they added balance to a decidedly breast-obsessed point of view. The *only* "scientific" quotes were in support of breast obsession. —Preceding unsigned comment added by True wiki guru (talkcontribs) 19:40, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Who are you to revert my edits? I thought Wikipedia is an open project? Who are you to block my edits? I thought Wikipedia was an open project? Who are you to think for others? I added comments which balanced the very biased scientific quote. My balanced comments would have opened the opportunity for other users who may be familiar with other sources, to put scientific sources to replace my statements. There is no need for a "sandbox" in this case. There is no testing required in this case. In case you hadn't noticed, the article was total pornographic scum until I came along and started cleaning it up. Who are you to determine whether my edits are "constructive?True wiki guru (talk) 19:52, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Instinct (Team)

Hi, I removed your speedy deletion tag from this article. In my opinion there is a credible claim of importance or significance in the article. Remember that criterion A7 is for articles that makes no credible claims of significance. Consider PROD or AfD instead. decltype (talk) 21:49, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Rainbow/Raduga film

Thanks for the help on the film page for Rainbow (1944 film)/Raduga. It was about to be deleted since it said only "1944 Russian film" and I came across the speedy delete notice while patrolling recent changes. It seemed a shame to delete an existing movie like that and looking at the internet info on the film, a seemingly important film for the period. Sadly, I had never tried making a page before and my efforts weren't completely up to film article standards. Thanks! Age Happens (talk) 05:22, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Inappropriate Editing

Greetings,

Your edit of my most recent addition to the Project Darkstar article was incorrect and inappropriate.

CampFU is a Project Darkstar based game. I added it to an already existing list of Project Darkstar based games that includes other commercial games (eg Call of Kings).

Please either reverse your edit or remove the list entirely. Anything else is selective enforcement.

Hidden page

Was your hidden page previously (before it got deleted) a link in the form of a full stop after the word wikipedia? --Spongefrog (talk) 18:28, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello

I hit the wrong button on RC watch today and feared I may have warned you by mistake. I don't see any evidence, but if there's a problem then, yeah...it's my bad. Thanks for all the help on RC's. See ya 'round Tiderolls 20:55, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

"Why doesn't it update automatically?"

I think at one time there was an automatic updater, but because it wasn't perfect, we decided we were better off doing it by hand. The automatic updater still survives on the RfX Report however. Soap Talk/Contributions 23:48, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

RfA response on my userpage

Hello, I equate these kind of responses as Wikipedia:Canvassing as it can absolutely only be prompted by my comments at WP:RFA, but I will say that if you run for admin again in 6 months you will most likely get my support. My opposition is because I feel like you want to be admin to bypass normal WP:CSD delays. Your work fighting vandals is priceless but can I offer a little WP:DGAF? You will make a fine admin some day. Zab (talk) 23:59, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Inappropriate Editing

Your edit of deleting relevant Environmental and Health legal issues in the Solutia page was inappropriate. All statements communicated actual lawsuits faced by the company, were properly cited with EPA.gov links, and were a matter of public record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.53.166.193 (talk) 12:44, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Admin stuff

Hi just came by to say Ihave given you a support thing, but as I hope you will make an admin I can say that the dashboard templete is ou of date, as it says that you only have 17 supports, but in reality you have 19; should I change it on the template page or will it do it itself soon? 'The Ninjalemming' 17:03, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

It seems to be frozen for some reason; another reason why we don't have an automatic updater on the RfA page itself. Soap Talk/Contributions 20:46, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
So I am guessing it is fixed now. Cheers for the update by the way. =) 'The Ninjalemming' 12:55, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Status

Its semi automatic. Using scripts located on my Monobook.js and my statuschanger.js I get some buttons located at top (located here and here). The link is here (assuming I ever find it) --Riotrocket8676 You gotta problem with that? 19:57, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Your RfA…

…unfortunately did not demonstrate consensus to become a sysop, and was closed as such—I'm sorry. However, you received good advice from both those who supported you and those who felt that you were not ready at this time. Taking advantage of the advice and constructive criticism will help you develop the skills and judgment which the community looks for when deciding to whom to extend their trust. Good Luck! -- Avi (talk) 20:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

These close-but-failed RFAs are always hard; if it helps, see User:Dank/Admins#Advice after close but failed RFAs. - Dank (push to talk) 20:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Green Guestbook

Hi Gaia Octavia Agrippa, I attempted to fix the green on your guestbook but was only somewhat successful. The green is mostly gone except for one part which I can't figure out how to get rid of. Hope that helps. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 04:19, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Nope, have no idea why that has happened; I'll try to figure it out though. 'The Ninjalemming' 16:23, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Automatic processing of your editor review

This is an automated message. Your editor review is scheduled to be closed on 18 May 2009 because it will have been open for more than 30 days and inactive for more than 7. You can keep it open longer by posting a comment to the review page requesting more input. Adding <!--noautoarchive--> to the review page will prevent further automated actions. End of line. Adoption

I suppose I need to find my way around on how to properly edit a page, but I ll go through the tutorials and help pages for that. How do I find out if there are groups of people that have specific goals and get involved? I would say I am interested in Medicine, Science and Literature projects. Still around

Yea I'm still around, I'm just waiting on the next task. EvraeLeilong (talk) 19:44, 15 May 2009 (UTC

I'm not sure yet, I think I might need just a little more practice. EvraeLeilong (talk) 20:29, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Adoption Templates

Thanks for the info. We figured it out though.

If you arent to busy... I've been having some trouble at the Noahs ark talk page. I let my personal beliefs get in the way of good editing habit, and instead of merely pointing out NPOV vio's I ranted about how literalism isn't a minority and what-not. Now I've got myself into a big mess, and it seems people cant leave the past in the past. Its at WP:EAR as well, and the last post there bordered on an attack... I'm not really sure what to do.Drew Smith What I've done 21:52, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Your adoption method

I noticed you have a very structured adoption program. I'm new at adopting, and don't really want to impose on volunteers, so I've basically just been answering questions. I personally would enjoy a more structured adoption process. How does your method work, in practice? Do adoptees ever complain that you're being too pushy? Do they ever get bored and just never come back? Do they usually enjoy it? And, if I choose to implement a similar program on people I've already adopted, how should I broach the subject to them?Drew Smith What I've done 11:26, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Online/Offline

I didnt know you had to update it. This seems a little rediculous. I thought it would autoupdate everytime I logged on and off. I'm going to remove it now. Thanks for answering my questions on your adoption method. Can you give me links to all the different tasks you usually give out? I saw the one you gave meteorman, and I was wondering what more advanced tasks would look like. I'm going to create my own tasks, I just want to see how you've done it in the past, and what to avoid. I'm not going to use your program, just take bits and peices that I like and make my own program. Thanks alot.Drew Smith What I've done 13:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Not advanced, per se, just more advacned than the only one I've seen (AaBbOo- put them in seperate headings).Drew Smith What I've done 13:49, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
ok, thanks. I guess your tasks are specialized to the adoptee, not a generalised tasklist. Thanks for all the help, once I get through this whole "Noahs Ark" thing, I'll work on implementing something similar.Drew Smith What I've done 14:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
I know you don't want to get involved with the noahs ark thing, I just need to vent real quick. Why do editors always pick out one single weakness in a persons argument and constantly steer (or sometimes completely teleport) the conversation back to that point? Even when the offending editor has already conceded the point? Some people really grind my gears...Drew Smith What I've done 14:32, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I've started an RFC for the content dispute, but I'm not going to pus it to much. I put in my two cents, and now I guess I'll let the "professionals" duke it out. I'm really tired of this. Thanks for being a good (cyber) friend, and not jumping down my throat like everyone else. I can't really let the attacks go though, so I've reported it at WP:WQA.Drew Smith What I've done 04:04, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
