Jewish ethnicity

edit

Please stop conflating nationality with ethnicity or religion. Describing someone as "Jewish-American" is generally deprecated. They're just American, and if Judaism is a major part of their life, and is documented as such, it may be mentioned separately, but simply being from a Jewish background is generally not considered important enough to mention. Undue emphasis in articles on someone's Jewish heritage is frowned upon. Acroterion (talk) 23:58, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

As for my edits on (mainly, but not only) nazi-fascist oriented articles, I would say in my defense that as far as I know, Saint Cyril did expel the jews from Alexandria in 415 CE, just as Catherine the Great instituted the Pale of Settlement wherein she deported the Russian jews after 1791. It has also been mentioned that I redacted some of the aforementioned articles, namely Expulsions and exoduses of Jews, almost implying that was tantamount to me bad-mouthing the jews, when in fact, I was only reminded to add sources about well-known utterly neutral historical facts, which I did. The same goes for myriad other cases, such as literal quotes by Henry Ford, or emphasizing the fact that Nobel laureate Johannes Stark did support Hitler, which was a pivotal point in his career. As for my name, even if it was chosen out of purely personal reasons, mostly related to my own german-japanese descent, I concede that it may have sounded misleading, somehow. Nonetheless, I'm still willing to collaborate on Wikipedia, and fruitfully so...thanks in advance.Gabriel Schnee (talk) 00:30, 27 July 2019 (UTC+1)

This statement was quite concerningDlohcierekim (talk) 22:49, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry. But as far as I'm concerned Laveyan Satanism is all about personal betterment and individualism, and Lavey himself was jewish. Anyway, I feel sorry for that. Maybe it feels a little bit outlandish without further explanation. Gabriel Schnee (talk) 00:59, 27 July 2019 (UTC+1)}}

I'm afraid that, taken as a whole, you give the impression of having quite an agenda, and not one concerned with building the encyclopedia. Any other admin, as always, can unblock in so far as I am concerned. A ping would be nice.   Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:52, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I concur. "Maybe it feels a little bit outlandish without further explanation." The problem is, basically every single action you've done here is outlandish without further explanation. Or perhaps better stated, every single action you've taken is deeply concerning. --Yamla (talk) 10:34, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
You also appear to have no difficulty when it comes to proper capitalization of words, except when it comes to the word "Jew", which you are apparently unable to capitalize. Jayjg (talk) 14:42, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, Gabriel Schnee, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as TooMuchSalt1488 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you.   Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:15, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

The problem is, I have nothing to do with said person. I feel a little bit baffled now, so I would politely ask for any serious evidence there. Gabriel Schnee (talk) 01:22, 27 July 2019 (UTC+1)

A small matter in the scheme of things. One must disclose an alternate account, but I will take your word for it.  Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:31, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
