Students at the Edit-a-thon

Gabriel, thanks much for asking about the edit-a-thon at HubSpot. I think it would be great if the students want to come! But when you invite them, please make it clear that they need to sign up. This can be either on the Wikipedia page or on the Meetup.com page, whichever you think they will be more comfortable with. We can be a little loose about it, but it would be tricky if a whole lot of students show up without having signed up. For one thing, we might not have enough pizza!!

I really hope you can come, as well. The more newbies we have, the more important it will be to have experienced Wikipedians to help out with the inevitable questions! Hope to see you there. -Pete (talk) 22:50, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Min Chiu Li

Hiya: Nice job with Min Chiu Li! I made a few very minor edits, mostly sytnax. Two general comments: First, I think it would be helpful to get a better sense of the timing in the research section. You don't really get a sense of the chronology...You give his early history in broad strokes, but it would be helpful to know when, exactly, he started treating patients with methotrexate, and when certain of his successes took place. My other comment is: Reading this makes me want to know how this ties in with the history of chemotherapy. In the opening sentence of the article it seems like this guy has made a huge contribution to science. Yet at the end, we only hear that he's won the Lasker award, which leaves me begging for more info about his ultimate impact. Was there ever discussion about a Nobel? His work seems Nobel-worthy... Also, I'm trying to figure out how he may have overlapped with Jane C. Wright, whose article I recently added to after the announcement of her death. From that article, it seems clear that SHE was a huge pioneer in the exact same kind of treatment, with the exact same drug... So did they work together? Did one influence the other? (And if so, who influenced whom?) To be sure, these are just extras to make the article extra awesome, but this is a great overview! Girona7 (talk) 05:38, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
