Othmar Commenda moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Othmar Commenda, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. editGhettoization
editPlease stop your ghettoization of women by putting them in subcategories and removing them from the parent category. That sort of thing is what non-diffusing categories are for. See the latest Signpost for more of an explanation. —David Eppstein (talk) 07:04, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oh sorry and thanks for your information. I didn't notice it because most of the female politicians were previously in the women’s category only and there were othersides other redundant categories. Who actually determines which categories allow redundancies? --GT1976 (talk) 07:49, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Like everything else it's a matter of consensus but the general rule has been that gender or ethnicity based subcategories should be non-diffusing subcategories of parents that are not segregated in this way. So for instance Category:Austrian women economists would be non-diffusing for Category:Austrian economists (the child category is gender-based and the parent isn't), but would be just a normal subcategory with respect to Category:Women economists (both gender-based). If we didn't do that, people looking at the main category might think that the only people in the category are white men, because they wouldn't see the women and ethnic minorities in their subcategories. We don't want to create that kind of false impression so we use non-diffusing subcategories. —David Eppstein (talk) 08:12, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
