May 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Serols. I noticed that in this edit to James Ranalph Jackson, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Serols (talk) 07:23, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Serols,
I edited a line under the heading Australian Career which used the adverb 'finally' in reference to James R. Jackson's death. As we all 'finally' die, I removed this redundant adverb, adding his age at time of death, as I think to a reader this is more useful information.
I will in future provide more information as to why I edit a line. I work as a volunteer with the State Library of New South Wales. The Library has a collection of paintings and monographs by and about James R. Jackson.
Your edit seems to have removed and an additional reference I added to the page, plus an additional gallery holding I found for the State Library of South Australia. Can these two items be restored please?
I added quite a lot of additional data to this page in 2021, and I expect to add further text and citations to this page over the coming 2 weeks.
Regards,
Stephen GHSydney (talk) 08:46, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
