Welcome! edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "GFE.foundation", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 19:03, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized here.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. Secretlondon (talk) 05:11, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

The name is misleading and I understand your words. It's also completely and wholly owned by myself, and has not yet burd itself into being an entity organization.

I will change my login, or start a new one if I can't figure it out.

I feel like the response I've been given has no connection to the words that I added to the common collective.

Democracy is a well-established word. Similarly food democracy is a well-established concept.

The Wikipedia entry on energy democracy feels like it's fairly new. It does not feel like it has many iterations of discussion and sharing behind it.

In my experience and research one of the basic premises that energy democracy complies with are included in the two or three words that I added.

I merely suggested that knowing the history of energy is inclusive of energy democracy.

These are present in democracy, vital in food democracy and the world-changing in energy democracy.

I appreciate your attention to detail. I feel like I've been flagged through an automated rule, one which is applied devoid of the assessment of the entry, the situation that exists in, and perhaps includes some negative connotations related to an opportunity that people exploit. By adding the few words I did, I have absolutely no way to profit, nor does the fresh fledgling not yet born organization I'm shepherding into being profit from it. There's no person in the world that profits from knowing the history of energy being consumed except our planet. Our planet is not paying for the organization I'm speaking of. We're working for the planet pro bono

Technically the organization is wholly owned by one person. Conceptually it does appear that is a group making edits. I think suspending my account and the manner you did will remove me from your list of contributors.

If you're willing to lift the ban, I would be willing to reapproach my efforts and contribute to Wikipedia beyond the pittance that I have donated to you in the past. This will include figuring out a different username.

I am guilty of letter of your law violation, I hope I've made clear that I am in no way in violation of the intent. I have enough personal mental health issues from the local authority having jurisdiction that I have no overhead for dealing with a new authority which fails to be thorough, fails to listen when spoken to, and treats everyone the same. I'm not voluntarily joining that.

Thank you so much for your contributions keeping turds out of Wikipedia. Although I'm grumpy about my current situation, I do support your organization and I do feel like the contributions of the organization make our world better. Blessings on your efforts. Decline reason:

You need to provide a new username. All the rest of this is irrelevant to your unblock request. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:59, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
