Proposed deletion of G.K.DHAS edit

The article G.K.DHAS has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. January 2014 edit

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at G.K.DHAS. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hi edit

I noticed you reverted my edit on the G.K. Dhas article. Just to make 2 things clear; 1) WP:COI outlines our policy on conflict of interest, writing autobiographies at Wikipedia is not advised. 2) WP:RS outlines the policies on references, in particular articles that are biographies of living persons ought to have references. --Soman (talk) 12:28, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, G.K.DHAS. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article G.K.DHAS, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. If you continue to add promotional content about yourself, you may be blocked from editing it and the article may be protected so that it may only be edited by administrators.   Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Yunshui  21:14, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at G.K. Dhas, you may be blocked from editing. --Soman (talk) 14:39, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Yunshui  10:22, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Since you have continued to self-promote on this page, your access to it has been removed. If you wish to appeal your block you will now need to do so via email; please see WP:UTRS or WP:BASC. Yunshui  13:05, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

You might be interested in setting up a blog, rather than Wikipedia article. That would give you more editorial freedom. Wikipedia is not a forum for self-promotion, but an encyclopedia. --Soman (talk) 15:50, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
