What are you on about? That was a great addition, a vital part of social science research, gaining insight from users, and it was factually accurate. You just sank the best edit. Ever! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.30.129.64 (talk) 00:03, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

I thought I was undoing the "Heyy" made by another user. For some reason, it looks like I undid an undo or something. I was removing unhelpful changes made by other users. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdznr (talkcontribs) 00:04, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Your info is an offence to a great nation like Iraq(Mesopotamia)- Babylon is capital of Babylonian Empire founded by King Hammurabi a thousand year before it was invaded by Achamenid Empire, so you should not say its 'Archamenid capital of Babylon!!' Greater Iran is not exist, Iranian Plateau of Aryan people not the including the Arabian Plateau of Semites such as Iraq, we do respect a great civilization like Persia( Greater Persia) but this should not on account of the other great civilization like Sumeria and Babylonia who were existed far before Persia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nebuchadnezzar4 (talkcontribs) 00:07, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I don't have a username on here. You undid an edit where I changed the spelling of a word. It was spelt the American way, which is not a language, and is not derived from the proper Latin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.107.12.155 (talk) 18:57, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

I have no doubt your company exists, it just doesn't belong here unless you can prove notability per WP:ORG. Also, WP:COI Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 19:14, 2 December 2013 (UTC)

Tacoma pythian page edits

I was just trying to keep the wiki page current. The cafe has not been there for months and has been replaced by Tacoma Youth Theatre, noted in the link I provided if others were interested. I am a member of the lodge and am one of the blog administrators that posts events at and about the lodge... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.191.16.66 (talk) 23:24, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Walter Wilkinson

Hello

I have been working on my first article and was wondering if you could take another look. Last time you caught it at a very early stage...

Copyright checks when performing AfC reviews

Hello Funnyfarmofdoom. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.

The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.

If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)

If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using {{db-g12|url=URL of source}}. If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with {{subst:copyvio|url=URL of source}}.

Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.

I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC).

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Deyi Secondary School

Pardon my unconstructive edit as i was doing it at 3 in the morning with a fever. I was just trying to give parents a fair warning before they even consider enrolling their children in DYSS. Anyway before i go to that, let me correct you on the fact that Mrs Linda Chan has been replaced by Lim Ai Poo. Ms Lim Ai Poo if im not mistaken, comes from Pei Cai or Pei Chun Secondary. Now back to the topic of why shes rude. Lim Ai Poo does not have basic respect for students. She has been going around the school and ripping the hemmed part some student's skirt as they were too short for her liking. She sends students to detention for the absolutely most ridiculous reasons. She is so obsessed with attire that she conducts attire check not only on students but on teachers everyday. She has also once barged into a class while the students where trying to discuss something and simply started yelling at two female students for having two earpiercings. Not only thay, Lim Ai Poo even has the guts to deny that she ever did that. What? Does she have Alzheimers? If you do not believe any of that, just catch any Deyi student. They'll tell you exactly what terrors are going on in school. Lately, another rumor has been spreading around. I have yet to confirm as i am sick thus being unable to attend school to check it out. The latest rumor being that she has been going into classes and checking (i mean ransacking) students backpacks for no apparent reason. I mean what kind of principal does that? Look,i'm pretty sure even general public will agree that she is stepping out of line. Can you see my side of reasoning now? May i re-edit the history of Deyi and show everyone how horrendous the new principal is. Winterfrawst (talk) 23:57, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Jason Ross - Unreliable Source(s)

Hello Funnyfamofdoom,

I recently noticed you made a revision related to an unreliable source(s) for Jason Ross's Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Ross_(musician). I was not able to view which references you were relating to and why? Could you please clarify for me? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Huggle config

Hi! I don't know if you've noticed, but your Huggle hasn't been issuing the standard edit summaries when warning users on their talk pages (example). Assuming that this is unintentional – you're the third Huggle 3 user I've discovered with this issue – I've boldly fixed your Huggle 3 config page by removing the four warn-summary lines so that the default project config will take over and reinstate the standard edit summaries. There's a clear benefit for these edit summaries to state the warning level issued, both for those manually checking the page histories, and for some automated programs. Best wishes,  —SMALLJIM  11:15, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Funnyfarmofdoom,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Please do not delete the page i've created.

Hello, please do not request for speedy deletion as just now I've created the page. Give me little time to make that page more informative.
