Speedy deletion declined: King-lui wu

Hello Funnyfarmofdoom. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of King-lui wu, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 18:27, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Freedom Gardens

Freedom gardens are a separate idea from victory gardens, in that, they are not a direct marketing campaign to conserve national resources nor is the idea orchestrated by the government like victory gardens were in the First and Second World Wars. Freedom gardens are a means for individual citizens to protect themselves from inflation and possible food scarcities in the event of a national catastrophe; they are not needed as a direct result of the current wars being fought currently like victory gardens were. The only similarity is the fact that they are gardens in public and private plots not normally designated for such use. The actual act of planting and growing vegetables is similar, but the driving idea behind is fear of an internal unknown rather than fear of the external foreign factors.

Toowoomba Mountaineers

Hello Funnyfarmofdoom, you tagged my article "Toowoomba Mountaineers" for speedy deletion. How do I access the article now to work on for future submission? DarrenMentor (talk) 12:48, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

The article has been moved to User:DarrenMentor/Toowoomba_Mountaineers Funnyfarmofdoom (talk) 14:39, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Ockham VOR/DME

I've just deleted this article that you prodded. Do you know what a VOR station is? It's effectively a big but short radio antenna (see VHF omnidirectional range), not at all the type of thing we have articles on. Good catch. Nyttend (talk) 14:01, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

I have to admit I am a bit of an aviation nut myself. So when I saw this article on the New Pages list, I thought "how could that possibly be notable"? I guess I was right. Funnyfarmofdoom (talk) 15:13, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Quite right :-) And as far as the length of talk page — I archive the talk page every three months, so it will be reduced in two months. Nyttend (talk) 15:35, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Typo in the previous comment; I meant to say "two weeks". I would oppose a speedy close, since two of the four votes have not been for merger. Userfication is a valid option, but the keep vote and delete vote are enough to say that we shouldn't userfy until the end of the AFD period. Nyttend (talk) 15:45, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance speedy declined

It's not nonsense, it's Star Wars! (woohoo!) Cheers, Dlohcierekim 21:08, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, at the time i nommed it, it was only a redlinked image and had absolutely no content. Since there was nothing to suggest it even existed (and i'm more of a trekkie), I put it under no content. Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 21:30, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
No problem. I Google'd the whole title and was surprised to see hits. So I went to the Wookiepedia and looked for the sources they used. No comment on notability, not even out yet, so I don't know if it would survive AFD or not. Dlohcierekim 21:35, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: King-lui wu

Re: List of English words of French origin

What's needed is the entire history of that page needs to be imported; it's not just copy/pasting over and deleting the article here (actually, the article here could probably remain here). If you're an admin on Wiktionary, I can show you how to do this; otherwise, it's best if you leave it be for now. Thanks for the offer, though. Hersfold (t/a/c) 15:52, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

You would be right, however to use this content we have to establish an attribution path to keep to the terms of Wikipedia and Wiktionary's licenses. This attribution path is essentially the page history. This can be copied over using the import tool (Special:Import) by an administrator on Wiktionary. This tool is what my bot uses, but unfortunately the interface it has to use is extremely twitchy, and trying to import a page with a long history causes the bot to crash; even when this is done manually, it's likely to botch the job the first couple times. Decline speedy

I have declined a speedy deletion by WP:CSD#A10 for Northern Correctional Institute because it is not a recently created article. Polargeo (talk) 12:24, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Slocum Skewes School

What is a better way to present this wikipedia page so that it would not be deleted? I understand that I am using stastics and I took them from different websites, but statistics you cannot change because then the information is not reliable. I would like to keep this page and do not mind changing it. I would appreciate feedback and guidelines on how to change this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hernaale (talkcontribs) 18:15, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Most articles that are on primary schools are deleted because they lack notability. please see WP:OUTCOMES and WP:ORG for more information. Funnyfarmofdoom (talk to me) 14:43, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

References?

Article regarding Developmental disability and changes in it.

Just because there is a reference, doesn't make it accurate. The reference doesn't even support the claim!

So do you want me to just inaccurately reference something that doesn't even address the statement just so that I can get my 2 accurate lines of information on Wiki? Wtf? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.54.162.129 (talk) 03:57, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Because there isn't a page on the American ethnicity already in existence? I will sound crazy for saying this, but in twenty years the existence of the American ethnicity, and the fact that Faulkner, Roosevelt and others should be counted as ethnic Americans post-mortem will be indisputable facts. I'll see you in 20 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.205.33.223 (talk) 04:13, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Please don't remove my edits until I finish. I work for the company and intend to post up-to-date factual information. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.227.93.162 (talk) 17:21, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

User talk:Favonian

Would you care to explain why you restored comments made by a vandal using open proxies when these comments have been reverted by the very person whose talk page it is? Strange Passerby (talkcontribs) 14:15, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Strange Passerby did right to remove the strange utterance. The IP (a likely proxy) is a jumper who has drifted to my talk page because I protected Prophecy of the Popes. Favonian (talk) 14:28, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, i only read that after i clicked the undo and replied. You still should check the reference and then see that its acceptable and not remove it, even if you wanted to tell me that he said not to add it in until we talk about it.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevoexpo (talkcontribs) 06:32, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

No, this is my personal account so you would be mistaken if you think its being used for ill-purposes. I have other sources like softpedia that you can read: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Download-Managers/ZeuAPP.shtml

ZeuAPP is a very popular program and i think it should be added to that article, its the prime example of what the program can do and what its for and i for one respect and honor the open source community so i really think that ZeuAPP should be talked about in the article, don't you agree? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevoexpo (talkcontribs) 06:49, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

I wasn't making those edits. I was deleting them, and every time I deleted one, another was there. Wasn't me, bro.--80.229.40.248 (talk) 09:20, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
