Hmm. So after I recently discussed the female spotted hyena in relation to aggression and dominance with another editor, you added this, which, in part, states, "Dominance relationships and social ranks in spotted hyena society are the result of disparities in social support rather than differences in intrinsic traits such as physical strength or aggressiveness." I find you showing up like this suspicious. But moving on, what you added does conflict with other research, as does this bit, where you WP:Editorialize by stating, "Contrary to what is frequently reported, female spotted hyenas are not substantially larger than males." That is why you had to state "contrary to what is frequently reported." Per WP:Primary and WP:SCHOLARSHIP, a primary source should not be used to try to contradict the general literature. Per WP:Due weight, we give most our weight to what the literature generally states. If there is a serious error, then it will have been reported in a secondary source. And per WP:Verifiability, "If reliable sources disagree, then maintain a neutral point of view and present what the various sources say, giving each side its due weight." I will also be making this clear at Talk:Spotted hyena. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:44, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, FundiFisi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Spotted hyena, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
