Hello, I'm Jytdog. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 17:22, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop attacking other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

It is very possible to discuss the issues with the article you wanted to create, without resorting to personal attacks and hyperbole. Please remain calm and civil. You appear to be a new editor; your best strategy is to ask questions and learn, rather than shout. Good luck. Jytdog (talk) 17:34, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

and if you take the time and effort to learn what is wrong you might be able to improve the draft to the point where it can be added to mainspace. The way you are proceeding, you will learn nothing and the article will never be created. You are of course free to act as you choose (although further vitriol will continue to be removed, per WP:TPG and WP:CIVIL. Jytdog (talk) 17:37, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Better advice

edit

I was quite happy creating what I consider to be an informative, neutral and benign article until you editors all got heavy on it not being sufficiently notable and one editor implied one of my sources was fraudulent. Please get a grip and publish the page before this gets out of hand. It seems like a total waste of your time to be patronising me with etiquette manifestos and the like. Against, I repeat, the article is totally benign. I expect it to be published forthwith. Thank you. Friendlymilk (talk) 21:38, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is a collaborative project. You will have to work with others if you want to write here. We are not a publisher. Being benign is not enough, any article needs to meet the standards of our project to be an encyclopedia. I don't think Wikipedia is what you think it is. Chillum 21:47, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
You don't get to demand anything. If anything, such behavior will guarantee a negative reception and you getting blocked. BTW, your repeated accusation that someone claimed the source is "fraudulent" is ludicrous. It's just a very poorly done case study that isn't even published. It might qualify as a sample term paper for high school. It totally fails our rules for reliable sources, and even more so WP:MEDRS. We have rules here, and you can't just use this place as a free webhosting service. -- Brangifer (talk) 21:50, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Now that was just plain rude. One rule for you, another for me.Friendlymilk (talk) 21:56, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Same rules for everyone. My first article was deleted. I've learned since then to follow the rules and the advice of more experienced editors. You are being given the same opportunity. If you don't take it, you won't last long and your article won't get published. That's not rudeness, it's straight talk. -- Brangifer (talk) 22:06, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

wikipedia is a collaborative project governed by its policies and guidelines. we are trying to explain them to you. so really... instead of realizing that there is something very calm, normal, and solidly grounded in wikipedia's policies and guidelines going on - and instead of listening and thanking people for trying to explain what is going on, and asking questions and trying to learn how this place works, you have your hands clapped over your ears and are running from page to page insulting people. it is so strange, and so sad, to witness. you are creating all this drama, when you could just open your ears and listen. (or better, you could click on the links we keep providing to you, and read what the policies actually say) why are you ignoring what we are all actually saying to you? (that is a real question - i would like to understand) Jytdog (talk) 00:54, 22 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
