Blanking

edit

I see that your intent on blanking your talk page. Well, that's okay (it's not vandalism or anything). But remember, it's sometimes useful to have people's comments on record. It's difficult to trace them down in the talk page's history. Therefore, you may consider archiving the comments instead. Just a thought! -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 04:39, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your Message

edit

I got your message about the Red Baron 3D Community article deletion. You say you've been around for a while now (since near the founding of Wikipedia), but your user contributions list only goes back to September 27, 2006. Did you use other user names in the past?

Can you give me the exact name of the article of yours that was deleted, so I can find it's deletion log? The Red Baron 3D and Red Baron 3D Community articles both show that they have never been deleted. Sometimes policy can be disregarded if the administrator feels that the article undoubtedly meets Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, even if the article was never proposed to be speedied. If you can just give me the exact name of the article, I may be able to help you out. Happy editing! -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 17:53, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reply: Okay, from what the deletion log tells me, the article was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's CSD, Article 7. The first admin to delete the article was Duja, followed by Tom harrison. Basically, the article appears to have been about a website that doesn't meet notability standards. For Wikipedia's rules about website-articles, see here. If, after reading through this, you feel that your deleted article still merits an encyclopedia entry, then you should follow the instructions on this page. You may also wish to consult with one of the admins who deleted your article. Thanks for your questions; I hope I have been a help to you. -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 02:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

DS Alert

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

January 2021

edit

It may not have been your intention, but one of your edits, specifically one that you made on Gab (social network), may have been a change that some consider controversial. Due to this, your edits may have been reverted. When making possibly controversial changes, it is good practice to first discuss your edit on the article's talk page before making it, to gain consensus over whether or not to include the text, phrasing, etc. If you believe that the information you added was correct, please initiate that discussion. Thank you. GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:59, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'll add that personal editorial commentary as you added, particularly when not cited to any reliable sources, is never acceptable, especially for an article about a contentious topic. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:53, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
