Hi, just letting you know that I had to remove your additions to the Niimi, Okayama article. The blog you linked to is clearly written by the JET teachers themselves, so it is not a reliable independent source of information. Hi. I see what you are saying. Several newspapers have written about the JET programme in Niimi, but I didn't think to include them. Here is a list of a few:
Furthermore, the JET programme ALTs were also on Line News - Line News: Niimi ALTs - note that the article is no longer accessible- I am unsure whether there is a time limit for Line News articles, but I have a screenshot of the articleFile:Line News article screenshot.jpgLine News screenshot
Additionally, the Niimi JET Programme ALTs' work has been featured on live Japanese television in both news reports (a snippet of which is shown in Article 2 above), as well as in the Niimi JET Programme ALTs' own television show to help teach English language through a different medium. Some of those episodes have been uploaded to YouTube and can be found here (English Paradise (Niimi JET Programme ALT television show) - Episode 1, English Paradise - Episode 2)
The ALTs are also featured in the local magazine every month, to add English language content for the citizens of Niimi.
Niimi is actually one of the Japanese government's 'guinea pig' regions for English language education, which is why it is home to 12 ALTs despite its very small size, whereas larger cities like Okayama City only have around 3 or 4. However, I have no references to that, hence why I had not written that on the Wikipedia page for Niimi.
Is this not enough evidence to mention the pioneering work that is done here for English language education?

The Sanyo news is definitely a reliable source that you can use. The Oricon and Line articles merely reproduce Sanyo's reports, so I wouldn't bother with them. Generally speaking, YouTube is not considered a reliable source, but it depends how you use it. By the sounds of it, there should be some further information in reports issued by the national education ministry.
