Changing Titles on WikiPedia

edit

Please help me ! I have the most recent version of wikipedia and I don't know how to edit titles ( even on my own articles) . I've tried all the other versions and watched tutorials but I STILL can't find out how! ToTIDK (talk) 01:21, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

In this edit, you said you fixed "ALOT of grammatical errors". First off, "alot" is not a word. Second, you removed all the formatting from the lead. The markup that Wikipedia uses may look odd (or even like errors) to a new user, but the symbols (such as apostrophes, brackets, and equals signs) are used to create bold/italicized text, links, and headers. We need them. Please don't remove them. In some cases, links should be removed, such as in the case of overlinking, and some of words that you unlinked probably should have been unlinked. However, there really isn't a case where every word should be unlinked. Especially in the lead section, it's important to link the major elements so people can click on them to learn more. I realize that style guides will vary on a lot of issues, but Wikipedia has its own manual of style, which says job titles should not be capitalized. Thus: a district attorney, not a District Attorney. It's not a proper noun, after all. You wouldn't capitalize Teacher or Driver in the middle of a sentence. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:11, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

oh,I'm sorry! I meant to write "A Lot". I won't take out links next time ToTIDK (talk) 13:01, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Recent edit reversion

edit

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. ~~~~ S Philbrick(Talk) 21:03, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have no right to delete my article because there were not supposed to be several different topics in one, it was supposed to be about places that you don't know about. I was not claiming that I was the only one who had written an article about it, I was only informing people that these places exist. FoxGloveSkittles (talk) 21:17, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The article Hidden Gems: Offbeat Travel Destinations for Adventure Seekers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a Wikiyoage

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please don't create new articles generated with LLMs

edit

Hello FoxGloveSkittles. Please read Wikipedia:Large language models. LLM-generated articles such as the ones you have created at Hidden Gems: Offbeat Travel Destinations for Adventure Seekers and Garri: The Versatile African Dish are not wanted here. Jfire (talk) 02:07, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry,but I don't understand . What is "LLMs " and why are they bad? FoxGloveSkittles (talk) 13:36, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand that you are upset about my possible ,but I don't understand why you think I used LMS. just because my articles are better does not mean AI made it FoxGloveSkittles (talk) 14:47, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
