FoxBot

edit

This account, FoxBot, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy as it is not currently an approved bot account. Usernames may not contain the string "bot" unless approved.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Nja247 14:26, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unblock request

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

FoxBot (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

This is just a temporary account, until I get acces to FoxBot see Wikipedia:Changing_username/Usurpations. Then I wil be able to apply for a bot flag.

Decline reason:

Declined because your username violates the username policy, since this is not (yet) an approved bot. Per Nja247, I don't think this is an impediment to your planned usurpation, but if it is please request help on your talk page. Exploding Boy (talk) 19:43, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

ace links?

edit

Hello. It would appear that this ace interwiki link is bad. Can you elaborate on what or why this is? Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 14:53, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • First of all I reverted all those edits and made sure that it won't add those interwiki's again. Those interwikis come from recently started wikis, a bot called user:SieBot added them to a lot of wikis, and because of this my bot is adding them to this wiki. The problem is that the Wikipedia framework hasn't been updated yet so the interwiki's remain red. - Foxie001 (talk) 17:03, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

interwikis on template pages

edit

How does one best prevent a nonsense edit like this? Interwikis should not appear on Template:ChoralWiki as they are transcluded from Template:ChoralWiki/doc per WP:DOC. --FordPrefect42 (talk) 22:29, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
