February 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Untamed1910. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Aptera (solar electric vehicle) have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Untamed1910 (talk) 00:28, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the notice. I've made significant edits over the past few weeks to improve its neutrality. Please review it. I'm open to suggestions for further improvements. Fotoguru (talk) 22:22, 12 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Disclosures are required edit

Hello, relative to the February notice, do you have a connection to Aptera, as investor, employee, etc.? If you do, I can walk you through the required disclosures under the Wikipedia Terms of Service. ☆ Bri (talk) 15:49, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the info and offer for help, Bri. As I've written in my user page, I'm very interested in efficient vehicles such as the Aptera and therefore in Aptera Motors the company. I have reserved an Aptera and have invested a bit in the company. However, no one has paid me to write what I write. Nor do I expect to be paid for it. I write about what I'm interested in, just as you do. So no such disclosure is necessary for me, just as one isn't for you. Fotoguru (talk) 18:01, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. I'm pulling back from this and leaving it up to other editors to evaluate whether an investment rises to the level of a conflict. You will see a routine noticeboard announcement here in a moment. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:25, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK. Have you read that COI page recently? The first point there reads,
  • This page should only be used when ordinary talk page discussion has been attempted and failed to resolve the issue, such as when an editor has repeatedly added problematic material over an extended period.
Have you mentioned any problematic information in the article? If so, I've missed it. Fotoguru (talk) 02:00, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. ☆ Bri (talk) 19:28, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Prior to making any more edits, I would advise addressing the issue raised at COIN.--CNMall41 (talk) 23:22, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
As requested I added a COI diisclaimer to my user page. Fotoguru (talk) 01:33, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You will need to address this on the noticeboard as you have failed to answer a direct question that was asked about your connection. As it stands, I am not sure the vehicle page is notable as everything was referenced to the company website other than some industry publications. The ones that do mention it are about the company and mention the vehicle. --CNMall41 (talk) 01:49, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
What question did I not answer?
Destructive edits are not appreciated by people interested in the subject matter. Also note the proper use of a vehicle article's Infobox. It asks for things like the basic specs you deleted.
As it stands, you or your accomplices have deleted many good secondary as well as primary citations from the articles. I also suggest you review

You call the edits I made "destructive" while an IP editor has referred to them as "vandalism." Are you the IP editor making these changes or do you know someone else who is making the changes? As far as addressing the COI issue, I would recommend doing so at the discussion on the noticeboard. I feel the back and forth editing on the pages, along with making accusations of me being destructive could potentially lead to a block. Do as you will, but would advise joining the conversation on the noticeboard. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:40, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am not that anonymous editor. Many others had found this article to be a useful reference. And by the way, history is not news either, and Wikipedia is meant to be a good source for history. Fotoguru (talk) 20:44, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Totally not true. Notability was included in the article until those parts were deleted by you or Bri. Many popular and respected sources were referenced in the article until they were removed by you or another. These include the The Washington Post, Forbes, Motor Trend, The Wall Street Journal, and Road and Track.
There are still remain references to additional popular and/or respected sources including IEEE Spectrum, CleanTechnica, Electrek, Motorsport Network, and ElectricCarsReport.com. Fotoguru (talk) 17:02, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
