Stained glass

edit

I just deleted your addition to a gallery in that article, and I am dropping you a note to say why.

This is not about the importance of the artist as an individual. It is about the relevance of that particular picture within the context of that Gallery. If you take another look at the gallery and read the caption to the pictures, then it becomes clear that each picture has been selected, not for the artist as an individual, but because the image itself represents a major art movement or technical innovation that affected 20th century stained glass. The pictures are labelled with names like De Stijl, Expressionism, Post Modernism etc.

In each case, images have been selected that show the glass with great clarity. None of the picture in that gallery are a broad interior view.

Using one of your pictures in a textbook

edit

I would like to include your picture of the Cologne diatreton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Colognediatret.jpg) in a textbook. It would show at about 5 cm high and be credited in the legend immediately below. I wanted to confirm that is OK with you, and ask if you would like it to be credited to a real name/location/URL/whatever. I can also be contacted at thechabon a.a.t.t. hotmail d.d.o.t.t. com.

Proposed deletion of Tux Droid

edit

The article Tux Droid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reason for this article to exist, fails WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -Liancetalk/contribs 22:07, 31 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

edit

Hello, Formativ. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
