Hi
editWarm welcome to en.Wikipedia. I see you have already made several substantial and expert article contributions, particularly to Vietnamese geography. If you have time, I wonder if you would consider taking a quick look at some stubs I have created to see if they can be improved. They are: Vàm Cỏ and Soài Rạp rivers, Đồng Tháp Mười wetlands, Thác Bà Lake dam, Mông Dương, Pác Bó cave, Mã Pí Lèng Pass Cù Mông Pass Khau Phạ Pass Ngoạn Mục Pass, Bãi Cháy beach resort, Hải Hòa Beach and Hồng Lĩnh mountain. Seasons' greetings. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:33, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your compliment, but I'm only a newbie trying to pick good articles in Vietnamese and translate them into English. I have reviewed all of the above articles and believe it or not, I think some of yours are much better than local (Vietnamese) articles which I find to be unsourced (or using unreliable sources). Books about those topics are either rare or hard to access to me (and most of Viet editors) so newspaper source (which is not always trustable) is the only choice. I think I can only improve Khau Phạ Pass with info from the local version. I have to confess that I'm not very good at the geography of northern Vietnam :). - Thanks for the encouragement. Good luck with editing on en.wp! In ictu oculi (talk) 12:02, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
DYK for Thổ Chu Island
editOn 14 January 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Thổ Chu Island, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that as part of their May 1975 occupation of Thổ Chu Island, the Khmer Rouge kidnapped over 500 islanders and razed several villages? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Thổ Chu Island. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
