Article assignment/Find possible topics

edit

1 and 2 are the top two topic choices.

1. Skin friction drag

  • The contents will be enriched by adding the followings.
- 2 Calculation: "Transitional flow" will be added between "Laminar flow" and "Turbulent flow." Reference: CPM
- 2.2 Turbulent flow: more possible formulas for turbulent boundary layers will be added. Reference : 1/7th law
- After "2 Calculation," the Reynolds analogy, which is the relation between skin friction and heat transfer, will be added as 3.
Reference : The Reynolds analogy
  • Citation will be checked
- Unified manner in citation
- The existing information will be double-checked with reliable references.

2. Cerebral shunt

  • The contents will be enriched by adding the followings
- 3.2 Obstruction: Past and ongoing research to solve the obstruction problem will be explained. Reference : a 3D analysis of shunts / Reference : first CFD / Reference : new designs based on CFD
- 1 Types of valves: The table will be changed to a table classified with two axes: manufactures and working manners. Reference1 : a major manufacturer / Reference2 : another major manufacturer
  • Citation will be checked
- Unified manner in citation
- The existing citations where fully citation is needed will be modified.

3. Seoul National University

  • The contents will be enriched by adding the followings
- Updates on facilities such as Gwanjung Library which recently has been built. Reference : Kwanjeong Lib. / Reference : Idea Factory
- Updates on "Controversies" to include the incorporation and the relocation to the city, Siheung-si. Reference : Siheung-si conflict
- Adding the description of the online lecture system of the university.
  • Citation will be checked
- Unified manner in citation
- The added contents will be double or triple checked with reliable references.
- The existing citations where fully citation is needed will be modified.

Gunpo

edit

Critiquing an Article Gunpo
1. Modification on the population : current population (2016.12.31) of Gunpo is 284,890.
2. The first and second references were not approachable, so the new links have been set.

Either of your top two choices look good. Go for it.

Peer Review from Kenny

edit

1. Some examples or the application of the "skin friction drag" might be helpful.
2. Does the "origin" need to be put under every equation?
3. Some equations might need more explanations.
4. Reynolds analogy has it's own Wikipedia page, so do we need to explain it again under the "skin friction drag" topic? DodoH (talk) 04:46, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

1. Little more explanation about the physical meaning of Laminar flow C_f (which is defined by Re) would be great. (like first sentence for transitional flow: Computational preston~ boundary layer) 2. Add link or explanation of 'conventional Preston tube method' would be great. 3. Same as Laminar flow, if you add physical meaning of Turbulent flow (not only terms of equ.), it would great. a) Generally, using academical voice was nice. b) Citing specific theory (or methods) was great. 06:43, 29 November 2017 (UTC)Aimingsourgrape
