Comment edit

Thanks for commenting and giving feedback. In regards to language, I don't quite understand what you were trying to say? Is the line of cisgender woman and the ideal woman sloppy? I was going back and forth how to paraphrase the source. Burnberrytree (talk) 00:47, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

In due respect, I just found that the language in the first paragraph especially seemed a titch informal. If you believe that it is justified, however, go ahead with it. I am no expert in this matter.

Jan Olsson edit

Hi: You were the second reviewer to decline Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jan Olsson. (It would have to become Jan Olsson (academic) or something like that and I have checked, it doesn't exist on Swedish Wikipedia.) The creator was on IRC getting himself all worked up over the decline and I did wonder whether you had considered the academic-specific notability guidelines, WP:PROF? He seems to meet criteria #6 and #8 and possibly sources could be found substantiating #1, which appears to be what the creator had mainly in mind as justifying an article. Hi again: I've examined the sources for this article, and cannot see how they meet our verifiability standard. Also he does not appear to meet the specific notability standards for footballers. As I said to the IP editor who submitted this at AfC, I would love to be proven wrong, but I'm wondering whether you are aware of the specific standards for various kinds of article, as with the Jan Olsson case above, which falls under WP:PROF. General notability trumps those, but they exist to offer alternatives in specific kinds of cases, and in the case of this footballer, very little indeed was offered by way of sources. Yngvadottir (talk) 18:27, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the above, I'd like to point you towards step 2 of the "When to decline a submission" section at WP:AfC. Thanks, C679 21:50, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
