Need Help to edit I Impact India

Hi, I am new to Wikipedia. I have made the page of I Impact India. but I don't know how to solve the issues that you have mentioned. Will you please help Me?ArnabKumarSaha (talk) 05:51, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi ArnabKumarSaha - please read WP:ORG. It describes what is required to support the notability of an organisation. In this particular case there is not enough written about the organisation by sources that are independent of the organisation, and another editor has nominated the article for deletion. I encourage you to use the articles for creation in future. if you need any help please let me know. Best wishes, Flat Out (talk) 02:18, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Nomination of Hungry kebabs and chicken, hallam

Hi, It says 'Nor does this criterion apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the advert tag to alert others to do so'. I just made an account now and don't know the policies. I don't want my page to be deleted. Please, advise what should I do. Regards

Hi BariahAhmad your article is an advertisement for a kebab shop, we don't allow advertisements here. Flat Out (talk) 07:45, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the review. I am new to Wikipedia so I am not surprised that some revisions are needed. The concept "civic studies" was developed by a group of scholars. 3 of them have wikipedia articles: Elinor Ostrom, Jane Mansbridge, and Rogers Smith. Elinor Ostrom won the Nobel Prize for Economics. I added links to each of the articles. I also added a reference which talks about her work from the perspective of civic studies. I checked on google scholar and the reference has 5 citations. (https://scholar.google.com/scholar?cites=7131663780434460406&as_sdt=2005&sciodt=0,5&hl=en). Let me know if there is more I should do to meet Wikipedia standards. Thanks.

10:44:36, 10 September 2015 review of submission by JNL1990

Not a re-review - just to update that the article now contains fewer references to dv8.co.uk, with references from sources such as The Guardian, The NY Times, The Independent, The Telegraph, the BBC, Variety etc. Also now includes numerous academic texts, both as references and also as 'external links' at the bottom of the page. DV8 references are now predominantly for tour dates and information pre-internet. JNL1990 (talk) 10:44, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the update and good luck with the next review. Flat Out (talk) 04:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Maberry and Walker Submission Declinination Inquiry

Hello sir,

I have reviewed the article, and your notes, and I'm wondering why the references presented are grounds for refusal? What issues with the content and citations can I fix to improve upon this article for approval? I have worked on various topics in this field on Wikipedia, and haven't had this issue before.

Please advise, and thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

--Writer_Sound 16:40, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

The references are ok, however there doesn't appear to be a depth of coverage about the duo. Flat Out (talk) 07:09, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Gabriel Vicens page

Why do you want to delete the page I have created about guitarist Gabriel Vicens? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fullsizerender1234 (talkcontribs) 03:34, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Fullsizerender1234, thanks for your question. To be included, the artist must meet either WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG and I don't believe he does. Flat Out (talk) 03:39, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
I just read the WP:MUSICBIO and it does meet various criteria. I have post a few reliable references and also if you google him... I'm sure you will find a few things. You're welcome if you wanna help me putting more information about him. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fullsizerender1234 (talkcontribs) 03:49, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Fullsizerender1234, which of the 12 criteria does the subject meet? Flat Out (talk) 03:52, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
1, 2, 5, 6 and 12... please... search about him.. I'm just trying to help a musician from my country so people can know about him and again please be welcome to add more information about him or edit. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fullsizerender1234 (talkcontribs) 04:00, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi Flat Out... Let me know how we can make this article happened. I would like to remove the banner. It doesn't look nice there. Thanks!!!Fullsizerender1234 (talk) 14:08, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
Hello Flat Out... I'm still waiting for your answer. Let me know! Thanks! Fullsizerender1234 (talk) 11:46, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
Fullsizerender1234, the article has been nominated for deletion so the "banner" can't be removed until the discussion is closed. Flat Out (talk) 04:20, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Flat Out yes... I'm pretty concern about that.. thank you... but can you help me with the article? There's plenty of legit information and articles about him on the internet... maybe together we can make sure everything is perfect... I mean... since you bring the idea of delete it... Thanks! Let me know! Fullsizerender1234 (talk) 02:44, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

My article - Basil Al Bayati

Hello there. You recently declined a submission of mine because: "There are far too many unsourced claims/sections in this draft. The lead is too long and does not represent a fair summary of the key sourced points in the article body. Further, there are claims made that require an independent source but have primary sources."

Could you tell me exactly what you have a problem with as I have provided a number of sources for the information provided? You seem to have a problem with primary sources but they are only provided where I am referring to his design work whether it be buildings or furniture and I have referenced his own books - as such they are not claims but rather photographs and proof of the work mentioned. In most cases, I have also included secondary sources as well. I am a fan of Al Bayati's work and have thoroughly researched the article I have written.

I think your appraisal has been a little unfair and I would appreciate it if you could tell me why the following article has been approved on the architect Odon Lechner as there is not a single reference, either primary or secondary for three entire sections - Early Career, Travel and Hungarian secessionist style.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96d%C3%B6n_Lechner

Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabulist Books (talkcontribs) 13:51, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Fabulist Books , thanks for your questions. Re: Ödön Lechner, issues with one article are not a reason to approve another article. Please read WP:LEAD and ensure that the lead only summaries the key points that are independently sourced in the body of the article, and that it accurately describes the broad views on the subject. There is a claim that he is known for investing a term but that has no independent source. The second and fourth paragraphs are quotes - do these quotes represent a broad view or have they been given undue weight? In the body of the article I have marked a couple of statements that I think need a source. Cheers Flat Out (talk) 04:47, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Please check again when you have the chance - I have responded to your comment. Cheers. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Basil_Al_Bayati&redirect=no Fabulist Books (talk — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fabulistical (talkcontribs) 20:01, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

Hal Adelquist Submission

Please explain why the article on Hal Adelquist I submitted was rejected. The references I included show he was indeed a major contributor to Disney during his 23 year tenure. Please let me know exactly what you need to approve the article for publication. I have left many references. He is mentioned as "creator" on "The Mickey Mouse Club" Wikipedia page. Adelquist is widely notable for his contributions to Disney, such as his listing in several books as assistant director on "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs," a major and historic animated Disney feature of the 30s. He was also a key figure during his personnel role, when selected by "The Nine Old Men" of animation as their labor representative in negotiations. Thanks, Darrylpix Darrylpix (talk) 17:15, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Darrylpix you have offered only two inline citations for the content, and one of them is dubious as a reliable source. You can't use wikipedia as a source. If he is widely notable then you won't have trouble sourcing all of the statements in the article. I would also point out that being credited as assistant director does not equal creator. In short - you need better referencing. I have marked a few statements that need a definitive source to help you out. Flat Out (talk) 23:41, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Hal Adelquist

Thanks for all of your help. I made the changes you suggested and hope these will prove to be good references. Please let me know anything I can do to improve the article. Darrylpix Darrylpix (talk) 05:02, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Dear Flat Out, I don't think the articles are paid news articles. Could most humbly I ask you to advise me how to improve the citations? I have studied the guidelines thoroughly. Sincerely, KengWitaphong Kengpreecha (talk) 07:35, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

Witaphong Kengpreecha many of the sources appear to be media rel;eases, which don't support the notability of the company - see WP:CORP. I have left the draft for another editor to review to see if they see things differently. Flat Out (talk) 01:59, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Misspent Youth Band

Hi Flat out Thanks for taking the time to review this page. I appreciate your advice as I am new to writing for Wikipedia and this being my 1st page (hopefully of many) I can see what you mean about taking it back to the stub, using supporting comments & reference date problems. I hope that the page is now in line with requirements. Kind regards Geoff Bubbles (Geoff Bubbles (talk) 10:06, 30 September 2015 (UTC))
