Hi, it's me Elen. Scuse the spam but this table of links is actually very useful. If you start from the Image Use Policy link under policies and guidelines, it should tell you everything you need to know about how to assert the copyright of any images you upload (I've never had occasion to upload images, but it's just filling out the right details in the template). You can also read the guidelines on Conflict of Interest - as I said, your article is pretty factual: stick to factual stuff with third party sources to back it up (so magazine and newspaper articles rather than your own website and myspace) and you shouldn't have a problem.
