Adding names to your userpage edit

Let me be clear first off: I'm not complaining about anything! Please read all my words as suggestions from a practical perspective only, because you're perfectly fine if you keep doing what you've been doing.

Asking students to sign up on your userpage is unusual, and as you note, one of our edit filters will sometimes prevent them from adding themselves; this is how I found your userpage, since one of them (Hattyanderson) was stopped by the filter and filed a false positive report. Have you thought of creating a subpage for this purpose, rather than using your main userpage? If you created and had them sign a subpage (e.g. User:Fiona ellis-chadwick/Signup sheet), I don't believe that the filter would cause issues. You could even transclude the signup sheet onto your userpage, so that its contents still appeared on the userpage. If this sounds helpful, I'd be happy to help, both with the creation and the transclusion; it's simple enough to do, but the process is a bit obscure and I don't want to make you dig through a lot of help pages to do something you probably wouldn't have reason to do again. Just leave a note at my talk page if you'd like help on this matter, or on any other matter. And again, feel free to ignore me completely if you'd prefer to keep on doing what you've been doing.
