Re:Iona Abbots edit

It's not the best of articles, though there are crapper ones I see you're also translating. :D Yeah, lemme get on it. There is a good source I'll post to you shortly. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 21:42, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe not the best, but I have expanded it somehow. I am looking forward for your source. --FinnWiki (talk) 21:46, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright ... it's this. It's listed in the article as a source, though it was only used to expand the list that was available in the other source. Both sources are highly reliable. Regards, Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 21:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I'll look into it. Do you plan to update the English article? --FinnWiki (talk) 22:12, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't plan on improving it any time soon. When I did it I was only interested in making a list, and really only for the abbots between Columba and Adomnan. I will change the format (to this type) and improve the information at some stage. I'll need access to more sources before I'd even consider putting lots of work into it, particularly Herbert's Iona, Kells and Derry. Atm I'm not a proper wiki editor anyways, as I can't devote too much time to anything. On the Brough of Birsay image ... I used to have a crap picture of this, but looking there I can't find it. I wonder if those stones could count as 2-D art, at least if one focuses in ... em ...? Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 00:04, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kalapodi refs edit

Hi there--

Did you mean to change the References section so it no longer had an English language title? For now I've assumed it's an error and changed it back, but do just give me a shout if I've misunderstood. Thanks. Gonzonoir (talk) 20:53, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ups, no, I didn't. Just wanted to add the interwiki link. Good thing you noticed my error and corrected it. --FinnWiki (talk) 21:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could you please verify Norwegian sources? edit

Hello FinnWiki. I wrote a small article Melhus church. Almost all references I used are in Norwegian. I submitted the article for DYK consideration, but they ask for somebody, who was not involved with the article to verify my references. If you have a time, maybe you could help? If you do, and my references look OK to you, may I please ask you to go here and post a comment (second article from the top)? Thank you for your time.--Mbz1 (talk) 02:03, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I added the interwiki-link to the article. Since you made the Norwegian references I may assume that you can read Norwegian - or did you use Google Translate? --FinnWiki (talk) 02:15, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I wish I could read Norwegian. I used Google Translate and the help of some people, who could read Norwegian. They caanot verify the article for DYK, because they are included as creators. That's why I asked you. Could you please help me with this? Thank you for your time.--Mbz1 (talk) 02:33, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, user Orland, who is well respected within the Norwegian Wikipedia community, has in the mean time checked out the article, and I had to agree with him: the debate about the the Petter Dass-painting seem to dominate the article. --FinnWiki (talk) 11:20, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
What a strange coincidence, I mean user Orland checking the article "in the mean time". Best wishes, and thank you so much for your help.--Mbz1 (talk) 14:08, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, meantime. --FinnWiki (talk) 14:46, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
