Daniel Lee Xiao Jing

edit

You started the Daniel Lee Xiao Jing article and have mentioned his name several times in your image uploads. Are you Daniel Lee Xiao Jing? Even if you aren't, you're probably in violation of WP:VANITY. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for self promotion. The Daniel Lee Xiao Jing article is non-notable and eligible for deletion. Give me a reason why an article about this Daniel person belongs in an encyclopedia, when a Google search only lists the Wikipedia article? Imroy 22:42, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Alright. I really shouldn't bite the newcomers. It's just that Wikipedia is a huge target for spammers, including self-promotion. I deal with those and other sorts of people on a regular basis and my tolerance of them and their actions has grown pretty thin. Many of the things you were doing really looked like someone trying to promote themselves and their 'artwork'.
Anyway, here's some links that might help:
Also, you might want to check out what links to 'Manimals'. Looks like it's also the name of a band and someone created a link to the title without there being an article by that name. Well, now you've created that article! People might be surprised if they click on that link now. I suggest removing the redirect and turning it into a disambig page, listing the band (link to 'Manimals (band)') and say that it's a term used by Daniel (with link).

Ok, good, I saw your manimals disambig page. I just reformatted it according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). Some tips on editing:

  1. Please use the 'preview' button when editing. It's annoying to see a whole bunch of little edits by the same author. Use preview to test your changes before submitting it as one change.
  2. Please also supply an edit summary. It helps others to understand the changes you made without examining each one in detail.
  3. Sign your comments on talk pages with four tildas (~~~~) at the end. It leaves your name and a time stamp.
  4. Lastly, don't put underscores ('_') in wikilinks. Wikipedia converts spaces to underscores automatically. If you are going to use copy-and-paste to make a link, copy the article name, not the end of the URL.

That's all for now. Welcome to Wikipedia! Imroy 09:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Hybrid.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
