Lyndon B. Johnson

Hi! Thanks for showing interest in making the article on Lyndon B. Johnson a GA; he is a fascinating figure! But, I'm afraid, for nominating it for GA, (1) you need to be either a major contributor, (2) or discuss the possible nomination on the talk page, get consensus, then proceed. Per this, you are not a major contributor, so you'll need to proceed with the second option. As from point of view of a reviewer, I'll say that the article currently is not GA level. A major issue is the length: 106,108 characters are quite honestly a lot. The article can be fully comprehensive even at, say, 70,000 characters. There are few uncited paragraphs, reference formatting inconsistencies, and unreliable sources such as this. It meets the "quick-fail" criteria. Thank you so much. I genuinely appreciate your feedback. It is so frustrating to have a nomination shot down and no one gives any feedback. Though I have a question as to what it means to be a "major contributor"? I am still fairly new at this and the Johnson article has been my first nomination and one I've poured most of my time in. I look forward to working with you in the future, seeing that will be likely as we both have a similar passion for American politics.

Hi! To be a major contributor of an article is to either create the article or have authored significant portion of it. Merely copy editing or other 'minor' edits does not constitute for being a major contributor. It is usually measured by 'authorship' percentage of the article. See this.
