Welcome

edit

Hi Feenix~enwiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for joining the coolest online encyclopedia I know of. I hope you stick around. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. Check out the simplified ruleset. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines.

 1. Write from a neutral point of view
 2. Be bold in editing pages
 3. Use wikiquette.

Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.

Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me on my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing 4 tildes like ~~~~. Always sign the talk page, never the articles.

Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing!--May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) 16:32, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Noone can feel welcome enough, so welcome! To Wikipedia, of course. How's the weather over there in the UK? I hear it's quite chilly. Well, greetings from Canada, and if you need an extra place to shout at, feel free to drop me a line here. Cheers! --Master of Puppets {MASTER! MASTER!) 16:52, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

RE: User page

edit

Start out by adding some info on yourself, what you like to do, where you edit on Wikipedia, what languages you speak, your goals etc. Check out Wikipedia:User page for what you can do with your user page and Wikipedia:Template messages for templates and how you can use on them. See Wikipedia:Template messages/All for a complete list of templates. Also, see Wikipedia:Image tutorial for how to add images. You can add templates by using name replacing name with the name of the template. Add images by using . Tell me if I helped out a little and if you need anything else.--May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) 17:17, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Signature

edit

I posted this on my talk page, but just so you have it here, too; it's a way to personalize your signature. Just go to My Preferences, turn on Raw Signatures, and paste in this text;

Example(*Yay*)

. Of course, feel free to change some things around. -- Master of Puppets (MASTER! MASTER!) 17:50, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Userboxes, Babels and Bears, oh my!

edit

I just thought I'd help out with your Userbox dilemma on your main page; here's a basic run through, just change the fields to your preference, remove boxes, etc. NOTE: You can also go here if you don't trust me. =D

+|-|3 8451< <0d3 (the basic code)

edit
Code Result

<text/image><text>
Now, if you want these to float into the right, for example, you have to set up the <div tags(set them up before the userboxes begin);
<div style="float:right">
So, so far we have our userboxes sitting pretty in the right corner. Now, they'll often tend to mess up, so follow the following rules carefully;
 1. Immediately after the <div> box, jump down to a clear row, and type {|
 2. Jump another row down, type |, then put in your userbox.
 3. When you're finished that userbox, jump another one down, and type |-.
 4. Then, if you're putting in another user box, repeat. After your last userbox, be sure to type in |}, and then feel free to close up all the brackets.||
Here's some code for an example userbox;
<div style="float:right">

BlahThis user is very bored.

Halb.derob yrev si resu sihT
} <----When you're done, close up with these.
</div> <---Finish it all off with a nice little close tag.

And there you have your Userboxes =) (sorry about the code, couldn't get it to stay like I wanted it). I'm still snooping around to see how to get them into the Babel boxes. Anyway, there's your average right-floating box set. If you want to add more in, don't forget the |- and |} brackets, as they do matter.

Here's the above with Wikicode;

BlahThis user is very bored.
Halb.derob yrev si resu sihT

Enjoy ;)

RE:Sigs

edit

If you wish to add a link to your talk page on your sig, go to the My Preferences tab on the top right of your screen. There you'll see a field named nickname. Type in whatever links you want to add, check off the Raw signatures box and save. You could add something like:

Feenix-my talk

Which will show up as

Feenix-my talk

except that the talk link won't be bolded but will link to your talk page (links become bold if they are present on the page thay are linking to).

Hope I helped you out.--May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| r 3 $ |-| t |-|) 07:05, 6 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Ultimate Force

edit

Sorry if I stepped on your shoes a bit with my edit; ITV just use Ultimate Force to fill their Saturday night schedule pretty much at random. Series 3 stopped about halfway through and wasn't continued until many months after it had begun; at this point I too thought it had been axed, so I'm tempted to think this is the same thing again. If ITV subsequently confirm they have cancelled it then we can edit the page accordingly, but until then them having no plans as of yet is the same as last series.
