Articles for deletion nomination of Fragment Earth edit

I have nominated Fragment Earth, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fragment Earth. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Fragment Earth edit

A tag has been placed on Fragment Earth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 00:48, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion protest edit

Thank you for your message.

In order to qualify for an encyclopedia article, a book (or series of books) must be "notable". Please read WP:NBOOK, the relevant notability guideline.

While I understand that Fragment Earth is an up-and-coming series of books that is being published "outside the mainstream", it does not satisfy Wikipedia's notability guideline at this time.

If you disagree with my decision to delete Fragment Earth, you may appeal at WP:Deletion review. Good luck. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:26, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Fearth edit

Please note that advertising is not acceptable on Wikipedia, regardless of whether the article is in user space or article space. User space is not an alternative to main article space.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on User:Fearth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of User:Fearth and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. The Anome (talk) 09:23, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

June 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your username suggests that you may have a strong interest in the book about which you have been writing. Here it seems you are saying you are its author.

If so, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your projects and products, your organization, or its competitors;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization, products or projects in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. While not specifically intended for authors who wish to write about their own book, it nevertheless includes some information you may find useful. Our conflict of interest guidelines may also be of value. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:57, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Fragment Earth edit

A tag has been placed on Fragment Earth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
