Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as UniComs, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. This page has been deleted once before for the same reason: Copyright violation. Please do not recreate if the article unless it is written in your own words and not in a promotional tone. • Hi, I have removed all the copyrighted material and the content which had a promotional tone. I think it's better if you get the chance to write the article in a non promotional tone and in your own words. LightAnkhC|MSG 10:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello and sorry for my first unsuccessful attempts to create a page for my company - UniComs. I'll try to do it in my own words. Could I ask you for some help from time to time?

  • Hi, of course you can ask me or any other editor for help. I edited the article a little bit in order to give you an example on how it would look like if you'd rewrite the content in your own words. You can use the companies website as a source (or even better, find another source than the companies website). When rewriting the content, make sure it does not sound like promotion or advertisement. It has to be neutral according to our policy WP:NPOV and WP:ADS. In case that you are somehow connected with the company, make sure to read WP:COI. Happy editing :-) LightAnkhC|MSG 10:57, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Are my two pages OK now - UniComs and Surecheck? I would like to remove the warning tags. I made sure that there are no advertising texts on the pages. Thank you.

  • Hi, I was fine with UniComs before it got deleted; anyway according to the deletion log here the article was deleted because it classified as advertisement. I didn't follow up with the article's development; therefor I'm not too involved with the deletion or the CSD tagging (I can't delete a thing; since I'm not an admin). I'll leave you the welcome message; it includes useful and helpful links on how to edit Wikipedia. I suggest you first create a draft of the article in your own user space by creating a subpage. An example for a subpage in your user space would be User:Farfouille/draft. There you could create a draft for your article; and then ask other editors (or an admin...John for example (this is the admin who deleted your article for G11) ) if the article is fine or if you need to work on it. BTW: I suggest you don't create separate article's for every product from the company. Rather include it in the company's article as a section. Furthermore, you should read WP:CORP as well. It helps you to determine the notability of the company.
Hello, Farfouille! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking   or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to facilitate your involvement. Happy editing! MBisanzBot (talk) 06:17, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Surecheck

edit

A tag has been placed on Surecheck, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mh29255 (talk) 15:40, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:31, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Unicoms.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Unicoms.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:08, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Farfouille/draft

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Farfouille/draft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
