Welcome!

Hello, Farazi482, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please be careful edit

You added a bunch of content to Government College University, Faisalabad and created G C University Faisalabad: two articles on the same thing. I am going to have to merge them. Please be mindful of our policies on neutrality. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 18:16, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • You also had GC University Faisalabad. and Government College University Faisalabad.. I am going to have to ask you to be much more careful with creating and moving articles until you are better acquainted with the process and the guidelines for article titles. I just spent ten minutes moving, merging, restoring histories, and deleting improper redirects. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 18:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

    • I understand it's your first time. I'm not sure if you are fully aware of our various guidelines and policies. There is no "official" article that belongs to the school: you edited/created three or four different articles, and the one that's up now is the proper title per our guidelines--and this cost me a great amount of time. You say "the page previously i have edited": that doesn't help since you edited four of them. Government College University, Faisalabad is the correct title, as far as I can tell from the school's website.

Content must be neutral. Sentences like "With strong industry linkage and market oriented programs, it is a rapidly growing university, striving for excellence in every field of professional environment" are promotional, not encyclopedic. If you wish to improve the article, I suggest you do so on the model of established articles for such institutions, the best example of which is maybe Harvard University. I will be glad to help you, but I insist on neutrality. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 18:39, 19 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

    • PLEASE keep comments on this page. All your edits are still in the article history: click on "View history" and browse around. Clicking on the date of a specific version will produce that version in its entirety, but be mindful of the explanations I gave for removal in edit summaries. Thank you.
