As you're a new editor interested in an area of Wikipedia where there can be a lot of conflict, I suggest that you familiarise with some of the policies linked from the welcome message I'm inserting below. You're likely to get people quoting acronyms at you and it helps to know what they're on about. WP:V, WP:NPOV and WP:RS are all going to be of particular relevance as far as changing the JIDF page is concerned.

Also be aware of WP:SPA. It always is a good idea to contribute to articles in less controversial areas as it means that you are seen as someone who wants to improve Wikipedia generally rather than just advocate for a particular point of view. If disputes get to one of the Admin noticeboards, it is the single purpose accounts who tend to get given the shortest shrift.
