The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! I think you may be operating under a misunderstanding of what it means to be "featured article". These aren't just articles that the community has chosen to feature for no reason. "Featured article" is a measure of the quality of an article. A featured article has been subjected to a thorough review. Not just of the facts presented, but the language and style in which they are presented (proper grammar, encyclopedic tone, formal language, etc). Whether the article follows proper policies and guidelines is also examined. Obviously, not every article on Wikipedia is up to these standards. It is hardly surprising that articles that do meet these criteria will be found more often on topics having to do with the UK (or the US) than on topics having to do with Slovakia, Djibouti, Mongolia, etc. due simply to the fact that this is an English language site that is mostly created by English speakers using mostly English language sources. --User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 15:34, 6 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
