We'd like to, but articles tend to get overwhelmed by breaking news if this sort of thing is done. This particular one has to cover the entire chemical, minerological, and economic history of gold, which is a tall enough order without noting details like this one. You might want to add this fact to the Wikipedia article Gold as an investment. Besides, is this a record high for gold, or a record low for the U.S. dollar and other currencies? Thanks for your response, i understand fully and did not realize that another article existed which covered such matters. Also with your question, i would argue it was a record high for gold, regardless of the status of other currencies. Yes the U.S. Dollar and Gold are known to act inversely of each other. Although the increase in the price of gold could be due to a falling dollar (as it is in most cases), it remains a new recorded price level for the shiny stuff. Get yours before the dollar falls further, you do however seem smart enough to know for yourself.
