SuggestBot picks the articles you might be interested in based on the articles you've edited and using a number of different techniques: following links from them to other articles, matching articles based on their content, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedia users. It tries to recommend only articles that others have marked as needing work, such as stub articles that need to be made longer, clean-up articles that need writing help, and so on. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you choose to participate we encourage you to leave feedback on these suggestions, which you can most easily do here by editing your user talk page. We'll stop by later to read them.

advice

edit

If your planning to edit Wikipedia football articles, especially regarding certain teams, I would recommend that you delete this account and choose a new name. As with the current one the supreme overlords of those articles will hold that against you from the first moment. Regards Monkeymanman (talk) 13:00, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, FTP1690, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 10:11, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You need to choose something completely unrelated to Battle of the Boyne or any other part of conflict in Ireland or any controversial political or social topic. Usernames must be neutral. They cannot be a platform for anything.— Chaser (talk) 02:19, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

William Prince Of Orange is still related to the Battle of Boyne — Exploding Boy (talk) 15:42, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You don't seem to be getting it. Your username must be in no way related to the Battle of Boyne. Not even tangentially. — Exploding Boy (talk) 20:34, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

You don't seem to be getting it at all. You are still going for a biased user name - give it up, it won't be allowed, we all know why you have added "loyal" and "GSTQ", just have a simple username and we will unblock you —  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:31, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Talk page access restored

edit

An administrator has now restored your ability to edit this talk page but revoked access on your other account. Careful, one obvious violation could mean both talk pages are protected.

  • Used words that will likely be allowed: FTP, Ranger (without the S), Cheers. Use only ONE word, or don't use any of these.
  • Words to strongly avoid: 1690, William, Prince, Orange, Rangers (with the S), Loyal, GSTQ, "Red White and Blue" mechamind90 00:42, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
