Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. November 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Patrick Bateman, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 04:21, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please see Wikipedia's clear rules about edit warring, as well. Continuing to perform the same change without gaining consensus for the change can get you blocked from editing. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:20, 11 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at God Mazinger, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.--Xexerss (talk) 02:03, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

how about you elaborate on how god mazinger isn't science fantasy? because i can tell you how it does qualify as science fantasy. there's giant robots in the manga version, which is pretty sci fi. and there's lots of fantasy, like teleporting into another world, and a boy who controls a statue that comes to life. i mean after all, science fantasy is a combination of sci fi and fantasy, so there you have it.

You may are not wrong, but genres need reliable sources that can support the things you say, otherwise it would be considered as your single point of view and Wikipedia doesn't work that way. I've searching on Google if there's a single reliable source (blogs, user-generated content and so don't count) stating the series belongs to said genre and I haven't found anything. If there's a reliable source stating it's simply fantasy, don't change what it says, please, that's how sources work.--Xexerss (talk) 05:26, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay I apologise buddy, it's just that other guy with the long username is making a fool of himself by acting like a troll and hurling insults. He needs to be banned, and he keeps saying that carl's jr in australia is closing down next year, and i've searched everywhere on google to see if he's correct, however I have found nothing saying that carl's jr australia is ceasing operations and i've asked him for proof but he's just being verbally abusive and immature.

  • For the record, that was one of the lamest edit wars I have witnessed in my 10+ years.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:13, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I would like to defend myself. All I did was add information to the carl's jr page that they are in australia, and this other guy called 2001:8003:401E:EF00:30C8:5126:379C:1BD8: kept reverting the edits, as well as telling me that they are ceasing operations next year. I asked him for proof because I searched everywhere online and I have found nothing about them ceasing operations in australia. Not only did he refuse to give me proof to back his claims, but he started verbally abusing me, telling i'm a "junkie" and that I need to "go back to playing fortnite" and he just kept verbally abusing and insulting me, so I started verbally abusing him in return. I find it surpring that he isn't banned, because as I've already mentioned, he was the one who started cussing and beign verbally abusive to begin with, when all I did was ask him for proof that carl's jr was shutting down in australia next year.— Preceding unsigned comment added by FPSfan3000 (talkcontribs)

You were blocked for edit warring and personal attacks. Your message above boils down to "but I was right" and "they did it first", neither of which are valid excuses, especially given that you noted your intent to continue reverting ("i'm going to keep reverting your edit on this page" and "we can keep this up, I don't mind"). This personal attack is beyond the pale. You can request an unblock using the template in your block message, but I strongly suggest you read WP:GAB first.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:37, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

okay, I admit I was out of order saying that to him, and I apologise for that. It's just that he did in fact verbally abuse me first. If you look at the edit history on carl's jr page, you'll see that I started off calm and civil with him, and then he started attacking me, calling me a pinhead, telling me to fuck off and that i'm a "high-handed sook chook" and that my username sucks. I tried to be calm and friendly but he just kept getting on my bad side so I just lost it and attacked him in return. I admit that I wish I didn't insult him back now that I realise, but the way he behaved was also out of order. I mean all I did was ask him for proof that carl's jr was shutting down next year but he refused to give proof and continued to be nasty to me.— Preceding unsigned comment added by FPSfan3000 (talkcontribs)

You know I blocked them as well, right?-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:48, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

yes I do, but unlike him, I am going to apologise for the way I acted. my intention was not to cause any trouble.

I have found another way because of you refusing to unblock me. Why did you have to block me? 2001:8003:401E:EF00:30C8:5126:379C:1BD8: had no proof and you kept abusing and assaulting me and I get this? What is with you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.38.127.210 (talk) 21:54, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

anyway after my block expiry is up, can I please put on the carl's jr page that they have some resturants in australia? because they actually do, and I have proof to back it up. FPSfan3000 (talk) 21:05, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Did you read WP:RS?-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:06, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and I have reliable sources. There's their australian website https://carlsjr.com.au/, their australian facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CarlsJrAU/, an article about them opening a carl's jr in melbourne https://www.theurbanlist.com/melbourne/a-list/carls-jr-district-docklands and also on google maps it shows several locations which parts of australia has carl's jr https://www.google.com/maps/search/carl's+jr+australia+locations/@-32.3390261,136.9688243,5z/data=!3m1!4b1 is that enough proof or not? FPSfan3000 (talk) 21:32, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

And also on their own website, they show which parts of australia have carl's jr resturants https://carlsjr.com.au/find-us/ do you consider that a reliable source or not? I mean it's their own official website saying where in australia they have resturants. you can't seriously tell me with a straight face that's an unreliable source FPSfan3000 (talk) 21:39, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you have a reliable source, then by all means add the info. Their Australian website is good enough.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:41, 16 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

2001:8003:401E:EF00:7D81:D43F:C586:EB51 has started reverting the edits on carl's jr wikipedia page again claiming that they're ceasing operations next year without any reliable sources or evidence to back up his claims. I've also contacted carl's jr on their facebook page asking them if they're really ceasing their operations in australia next year and they have denied it, proving anything 2001:8003: says to be complete lies. I even have a screenshot showing my coversation with carl's jr australia as proof https://i.ibb.co/j4hc8y2/carl-039-s-jr-are-not-ceasing-operations-in-australia.png. August 2019 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Carl's Jr.; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Steven Crossin Help resolve disputes! 12:18, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I would have been more than happy to co-operate with that guy, except he started verbally abusing me and insulting me. I gave him proof that carl's jr are still in australia which he keeps dismissing and now he's claiming that they're ceasing operations in australia next year but he keeps refusing to give any proof or evidence to back his claims. He's also creating sockpuppet accoutns to avoid his block. I tried my best to be reasonable with him, but he kept being obnoxious and verbally abusive. FPSfan3000 (talk) 12:23, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I know, I live like 20 minutes from one here in Australia, so I know it exists here. Nonetheless, edit warring isn't ever acceptable, even if the other person is clearly wrong - you should take issues such as this to places like the administrators noticeboard for review. Steven Crossin Help resolve disputes! 12:26, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
okay I apologise. I never meant to cause any trouble FPSfan3000 (talk) 12:29, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
No worries :-) I know you were trying to do the right thing and keep Wikipedia accurate. Just take note for next time, if something like this happens again, reach out for help rather than continuously undo someone's edits. I see you were blocked above for edit warring. I'd strongly caution you to not do this again, it may lead to a much longer block in future. Steven Crossin Help resolve disputes! 12:33, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

worry not, i won't make that mistake again. also regarding 2001:8003:401E:EF00:7D81:D43F:C586:EB51 he keeps saying that carl's jr are ceasing operations next year and he's refusing to give out any proof. I eman i've asked the guy for proof nicely and all he has done is insult me and verbally abuse me, trying to get a rise out of me.

And also i looked at his talk page and he isn't telling you the full story, he was actually the one to insult me first. I never called him an inbred, a dimwit or anything like that. yes i did hurl insults at him, however that was because he insulted me numerous times first. I actually posted a comment similar to this on his profile however he deleted it because he doens't want you to know my side of the story. FPSfan3000 (talk) 15:25, 19 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Please cool down. I know the IP user is inserting false information, but you don't really need to attack them. Nigos (t@lk Contribs) 08:50, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

how am I attacking him? i'm merely trying to defend myself. I can't just let him walk all over me. but okay I won't message that guy anymore. FPSfan3000 (talk) 09:41, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Enough is enough. Please walk away from this editor. Several people have asked you to leave it alone. Steven Crossin Help resolve disputes! 10:06, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 12:29, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

why am I blocked? all I did this was defend myself, calling that guy out for accusing me of saying things I've never said. There are people who have done worse things, and yet I get blocked for 2 weeks over something as petty as that? 2001:8003: has said equally bad things about me, why isn't he getting blocked for 2 weeks? this is ridiculous.

(talk page stalker) They were blocked too. Two wrongs don't make a right, you were asked multiple times to leave the situation alone. From your comments above you stated you'd not message them anymore, yet continued to do so, among other reasons. I'd suggest you take the next two weeks to reflect on how you'll interact with others and handle disagreements with other editors, regardless of whether they are right or wrong. That the other person is doing the wrong thing/saying bad things is not an excuse for you to do the same. Steven Crossin Help resolve disputes! 12:47, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

is there any way I can delete my account here? because I am having doubts I want to contribute to this site again. FPSfan3000 (talk) 13:01, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Accounts cannot be deleted, mostly for legal reasons(all edits must be attributable to someone). If you no longer wish to edit, simply abandon your account. Blocks are on the person, not the account, so if you change your mind later, you will need to return to this account to request unblock(within the timeframe of the block). 331dot (talk) 13:04, 20 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've done a bit of deflecting and honestly I think this 2 week ban is disproportionate. All I did was comment on that guy's profile calling him a liar for claiming that I had called him things like an inbred goose, and that's somehow bad enough to warrant a 2 week ban? I can understand if I was banned for say a few days, but two weeks? there are people who've done worse than what I said. and I disagree with your statement that two wrongs don't make a right, I respect your right to hold that opinion but you can't force others for conform to that ideaFPSfan3000 (talk) 22:25, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

You are free to make an unblock request. 331dot (talk) 22:18, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Well i'll consider that. But in all honesty, that argument I had with that guy verbally abusing me and trying to get a rise out of me has put me off from contributing to this site.FPSfan3000 (talk) 22:25, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've done some thinking and I don't want to use this site anymore. goodbye. FPSfan3000 (talk) 10:02, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I get blocked for 2 weeks and accused of "attacking" that guy, when all I did was call him out for lying. If that's how I am going to be treated here then I want nothing to do with this site anymore. FPSfan3000 (talk) 12:10, 19 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
