Hello again. :) It's good to hear from you! I'm not very active anymore. I like your infobox picture! I have a random question: do you like Adventures in Odyssey? Cheers -- American Eagle (talk) 01:13, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Copyright violation

Image:Whirled Logo Userbox.png is a blatant copyright violation copy of Image:WhirledLogo.png. Do not falsify licensing as this constitutes a copyright violation. I've tagged the image for speedy deletion as a copyright violation, and removed it from User:Ezekiel 7:19/Whirled member. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:12, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "The silent hippo". The reason given for The silent hippo's block is: "Abusing multiple accounts: TreadingWater".

Decline reason: You have now been blocked directly for abusing multiple accounts. — Tiptoety talk 16:51, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm a little confused about this... Was it CU evidence that found the connection? –xeno (talk) 17:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
    • No, both Ezekiel 7:19 and User:-SMD- Clan were caught in this auto block. They both have extremely similar contributions and seeing as Ezekiel 7:19 edited -SMD- Clan's userpage, I see a rather strong connection. Tiptoety talk 17:28, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
      • It's likely a school. The SMD clan is an improper role account and inappropriate use of user space and should be remain blocked (but on a cursory examination, I don't see it as abusive sockpuppetry). Having interacted with him in the past, I also don't think Ezekiel would commit vandalism such as that done by silent hippo. Perhaps we should reconsider this block with a strong cautioning to use Wikipedia appropriately. –xeno (talk) 17:35, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
        • Xeno, seeing as you appear to know a bit more than me, I would not be opposed to you unblocking if you see fit. Tiptoety talk 17:36, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Ezekiel, I've unblocked based upon the above. The SMD role account will remain blocked; please do not use Wikipedia as a networking site for your clan, and ensure your activities on Wikipedia are focused on improving the encyclopedia. I agree with Tiptoety's assessment of your userpage: I would urge you not to release your date of birth and location here (or elsewhere on the internet for that matter). I will email you a copy of your userpage, please recreate it without such details. –xeno (talk) 17:40, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
  • OK, I've deleted all the stuff for the clan. I noticed you put your high school, location, and date of birth back on your userpage, I would still urge against this... –xeno (talk) 20:10, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

What not to watch

Er, if I was you I would definatly not watch Zeitgeist (I actually didn't put a link so you would not find out what it was) you wouldn't like it. Neither do I really, but I proved most of it wrong; then forgot my argument. The spelling is also a bit off --The Ninjalemming 20:10, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah sorry about that I was just saying what ever you do, do not watch Zeitgeist the film (that may be simpler) --The Ninjalemming 17:30, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
oh and I am British --'The Ninjalemming' 18:08, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
I am not in the Beetles wikiproject, but Zeitgeist is basically completly antichristian do not watch it. --'The Ninjalemming' 20:25, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Re

WP:IUP/FUS is a good place to start. Fair-use images are essentially images that are copyrighted (in this case, by Nintendo and Camelot). Fair-use policy on Wikipedia is extremely stringent, meaning that we can only use copyrighted material that must be used.

WP:ICT/FU has a list of copyright tags that could be used to describe its licensing, while the "Fair Use Rationale" is completely explained here: WP:NFC.

However, even if all ends are met, most of the images you uploaded probably won't work. A group image of all will suffice, because it will lower the amount of fair-use content used. Issac's is an exception, because of all the characters, his has been rendered 3-D by a Nintendo game (something which could be mentioned due to its notability and uniqueness). A fair-use image may only be uploaded if it meets notability requirements, which must be established in the image caption as well as the article.

I'm not sure if that helped much, and I'm pretty sure that WP:NFC will explain it more clearly. But mostly, the image-policy used on Wikipedia is learnt through experience. (I've had more than my fair share of images deleted before because I did not know the policy before) --haha169 (talk) 18:06, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

That's a good start! Make sure the images aren't too clustered, or positioned in a way that makes the article look ugly. Remember that the text is still the most important thing! --haha169 (talk) 01:50, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
