Hello Exceptionally almindelig, I'm Luxord185 and I really am not sure what the second part is but still. I know of this great quote about archaeology by Agatha Christie,

"An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have. The older she gets the more interested he is in her." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luxord185 (talkcontribs) 04:05, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Peer Review edit

I thought you did a great job keeping the information focused on the achievements and work of these archaeologists. Also, I liked that you seemed to have quite a few links to other Wikipedia articles, as well as the boxes on the sides of the articles that give brief information about the women you are writing about.

One thing that I noticed was that you had a section called bibliography and a section called references. I understand what you are doing here, but at first glance I was slightly confused by what was meant. Maybe consider changing the heading bibliography to something like Books Authored or Well Known Writings. Or possibly add a blurb under the heading bibliography stating that the following citations are for writings and research by each archaeologist. It's not a big thing, but it might just serve to make the organization more clear cut.

The second thing I think you should look at would be sentence flow and structure. I know that it's kind of hard at the beginning point of a paper when you don't have a ton of information to work with, but at some points the sentences seemed a little short and choppy. By adding some variance in length and set up, it might help the information flow better.

My final suggestion would be to expand on certain topics, such as their special projects and conservation efforts, as well as special awards and honors. For example, you mentioned that Fiona Marshall works on conservation projects in Laetoli. Reading that made me curious about what the situation is in Laetoli and what exactly she is doing about it. Peer Review 2 edit

Overall I think you did a great job at putting forth useful information that better lets the reader understand what exactly these archaeologists did. The amount of references you cite, as well as pages you link to are excellent.

My first suggestion is extremely minor, but instead of using the heading "Personal Works" to describe the work that has been done by these archaeologists, I would suggest using a heading that tells the reader that you are actually talking about the specific archaeology that each woman did.

Another suggestion would be that you could have a section talking specifically about what these archaeologists did in the field, and then provide subcategories going more into the details of what there work meant in regards to archaeology and/or Africa.

And finally, it might be nice if you could provide pictures of the archaeologists themselves, or else images pertaining to their work or where they worked at.Gliderrider401 (talk) 19:29, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

sandbox edit

Hi! I've made a few edits to your sandbox. Looks really good overall, and I think it's ready for the mainspace. One small thing, can you find a reference for the bit about Nariokotome Boy's scoliosis? Ninafundisha (talk) 02:28, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Fiona Marshall edit

Hello Exceptionally almindelig,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Fiona Marshall for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Juristicweb (talk) 05:23, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Article feedback edit

Excellent work on the articles about Fiona Marshall, Diane Gifford-Gonzalez, and Alison S. Brooks. One thing you might consider is looking for independent sources about each of these scientists. Your references are excellent but the articles are overly reliant on primary sources versus secondary sources. Please let me know if you have any questions.
