Free Church of England

edit

Hello, and thank you for the additions to Free Church of England. However, they could use some clarifications (I made some small edit where I could see what was meant). This sentence is not clear:

"In 2012 in absence of a Bishop both Barry Schuksmith and Arthur Bentley Taylor had retired the Evangelical Connexion of the Free Church of England appointed a Co-Ordinator."

Is something like the folloing what was intended?

"In 2012, in absence of a Bishop (both Barry Schuksmith and Arthur Bentley Taylor had retired), the Evangelical Connexion of the Free Church of England appointed a Co-Ordinator."

I have read the following sentence several times and cannot make heads or tails of it.

"In 2003 as a result of fundamental theological disagreements within the Free Church of England with particular reference to the very nature of the Church and specifically the authority and hence the function of those chosen to lead the Church and specifically the authority and then the function of those chosen to lead the church."

Any clarifications you can make would be appreciated. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 03:37, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Evangelical Connexion

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Evangelical Connexion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 16:57, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Evangelical Connexion

edit

Hi Evangelical821. At Talk:Evangelical Connexion, you said: "If this page is deleted this organisation ceases to have any mention at all which means it doesn't exist which it does. Can you leave in basic facts just an infobox". Please note that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information; it only accepts articles on subjects that have received significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. See Wikipedia:Notability for more info, and let me know if you have any questions. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 17:53, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Free Church of England, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 18:25, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Evangelical Connexion logo.jpg

edit

The file File:Evangelical Connexion logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
