Welcome, Eustathius!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Eustathius! I'm Queen of Hearts, and I've been assigned as your mentor. About half of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.
You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.
If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.
Again, welcome to Wikipedia! QueenofHearts 20:48, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
January 2024
editThanks for contributing to the article Shrewsbury Castle. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the claims (see here for how to do inline referencing). If you need further help, you can look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse, or just ask me. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 22:10, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
- very sorry to trouble you, I'm new to this and didn't know what to do Eustathius (talk) 23:36, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
Translations from other wikipedias
editHi there, I just came across Order of Merit (Waldeck and Pyrmont), which looks like it might partially be a translation of the article at de:Verdienstorden (Waldeck). Is that true? If so, you'll want to attribute your translation in an edit summary. Have a look at WP:HOWTRANS for some instructions. -- asilvering (talk) 19:14, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Order of Merit (Waldeck and Pyrmont) moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Order of Merit (Waldeck and Pyrmont), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — MaxnaCarta ( 💬 • 📝 ) 02:38, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
- I believe the article should be more adequate now. Eustathius (talk) 15:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
