The Dark Knight

edit

What are you talking about? Did you read the citations? These are the quotes:

  • The Associated Press: "Curiosity to see Ledger's final performance will likely further stoke interest in the summer blockbuster."
  • Animation Magazine: "Warner Bros. may have to alter its marketing approach a bit, considering a lot of it prominently features Ledger in arch-villain mode."
  • Entertainment Weekly: "I'm sure no one will be able to watch that one either without seeing unintended ironies and eerie portents of doom."

Is there a problem with these quotes? —Erik (talkcontrib) - 05:44, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how my rewriting of what the Associated Press said is inaccurate. Feel free to suggest a different phrasing. As for Animation Magazine, the speculation is verifiable as opposed to you or me making our own. It probably will not last forever, as I mentioned on the talk page, but in the meantime, this is how an independent source believes Ledger's death will impact the film. The whole paragraph's intended to appease some correspondence between Ledger's death and the film, and it will almost certainly evolve as time passes us by. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 05:54, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, I will see about rewriting the sentence, as obviously I did not intend that point. As for Animation Magazine, I think there needs to be some clarification about its verifiability. The magazine qualifies as a reliable source because it has a reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. The assertion is made by a secondary source, and there's no reason to question the credibility of the source. It only reports the possibility of the marketing campaign being re-adjusted, which is an independent, credible observation. I need to go to bed, so feel free to bring up these points with other editors on the film article's talk page. I'm only trying to give some structure to Ledger's death in the context of the film. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 06:02, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
