Please discuss these proposed changes on the article talk pages first, and if there is consensus among other editors to use "cherry" instead of "berry", then the changes can be made. Thank you. Berries

You are wrong to believe that berries are defined as "having seeds on the outside". By definition, a berry is a simple fruit having seeds and pulp produced from a single ovary, while a drupe is similar but with a hard layer surrounding the seed. If your only reason for changing "coffee berry" to "coffee cherry" is to be botanically accurate, then you're well wide of the mark. Many fruit are commonly named or referred to as berries that do not meet the botanical definition, and while the fruit of the coffee plant is often called a "coffee cherry", it is also commonly called a "coffee berry". If you want to bring evidence from reliable sources that "cherry" should be preferred to "berry", please bring it to the talk page of the relevant articles and discuss it. Simply re-reverting another editor's revert of your edit is not the way we do things here, and you are much better off creating a discussion and establishing what the consensus is. --RexxS (talk) 15:15, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
