Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, EternallySpacedOut! I am FaerieInGrey and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Archaeology

edit

For articles about Archaeology, there's a Wikiproject called WikiProject Archaeology. Wikiprojects are intended to group editors together to collaborate on a particular subject. They generally list all of the articles about the subject and how far aong those articles are. The ones that are "Featured Articles" are as close to perfect as an article can get. "Good" articles still need some work, but are close to becoming featured. If an article isn't featured or good, it will say what's wrong with it -- maybe it needs more sources cited, to be proofread, or to be reorganized. Archaeology has a list of articles that particularly need help at Portal:Archaeology/Things you can do.

There is also a specific project for WikiProject Ancient Egypt which has the same things, but narrowed in on Egypt.

The project page (the first thing I linked) has a long list of current members of the project, so I'm sure that that would be a good way to start collaborating with others. Hope this helps! FaerieInGrey (talk) 06:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
