Welcome! edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Please do not add your website to article edit

It's not a reliable source by our criteria, see WP:RS nor is it a suitable external link, see [WP:EL]. I'm also sorry to say that your offer at Talk:Bhagavad Gita is not appropriate. I think you misunderstand Wikipedia, which is a secular encyclopedia based on what reliable secondary sources have to say about a subject. Read some of the links above. Thank you for your response. I am learning fast and I have recently introduced about wikipedia editing. No problem, I thought that if I want to share it with wikipedia is the biggest platformm. --Eternal8reg (talk) 19:45, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

We use "nofollow", so it wouldn't help. Doug Weller talk 14:37, 27 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please don't use personal websites edit

I would think you could find academic sources. See WP:RS. Doug Weller talk 21:19, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

March 2020 edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 20:06, 12 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
