February 2015 edit

Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that you recently removed some content from LaSalle, Illinois  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 04:03, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have deleted the above message in the manner prescribed by the guidelines (strike through) because I made a mistake in reverting the edit and leaving the message. I have rolled back my reversion to your latest version. After a few days, I only can say that I must not have focused on the edit summary. If I had, I would have looked further into the article which was where your rewrite was placed. I am very sorry for the mistake and hope this will not discourage you from editing Wikipedia. April 2020 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at LaSalle, Illinois, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. in order for a person to be on a Notable people list in a US settlement article, the person must be notable, which is generally shown by the existence of a biographical article on them on Wikipedia; and there must be sources either in their bio, or attached to the list entry, showing their tie (by birth, current primary residence, or a significant residence period in the settlement. Simply working there or owning property is not a strong enough tie. John from Idegon (talk) 22:21, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
