Request reason:

I was blocked for adding context to biased information, which was not sourced. The flaws in Sarah Hughes's technique that I noted are documented here in Sports Illustrated by a respected journalist: https://vault.si.com/vault/2002/02/21/up-up-and-away-at-16-sarah-hughes-is-making-the-biggest-leap-of-her-lifefrom-high-school-kid-to-olympic-darling. I was trying to add this reference when I undid the previous edit. This is important contextual information to the unsourced claims about her skating technique. I am an expert in the field. Decline reason:

We have no way to know if you are an expert in anything. It's not that I disbelieve you, but anyone can claim to be anything here. This is why we have a strict biographies of living persons policy, we require sources, not context. 331dot (talk) 20:30, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Estochka (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I edited unsourced information, which is inaccurate and biased. You asked for a source. I have provided one (New York Times article linked above). The biographies of living persons policy requires neutrality. The current page is anything but. It reads as if it's written by a PR agent, and the information to which I added context is unsourced and inaccurate. It seems as if my attempt to add contextual information that may not be favorable is being censored. I kindly ask to be unblocked, and to add the information with the source I have provided.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I edited unsourced information, which is inaccurate and biased. You asked for a source. I have provided one (New York Times article linked above). The biographies of living persons policy requires neutrality. The current page is anything but. I kindly ask to be unblocked, and to add the information with the source I have provided. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

I kindly ask to be unblocked, and to add the information with the source I have provided. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}
