You have recently started adding articles to a new category called "Serial marriers", namely with Elizabeth Taylor and Zsa Zsa Gabor. [1] [2] I am unfamiliar with such a term, what does this category mean? Hall Monitor 17:59, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
- I am new to wikipedia, and hope that I am not unwittingly doing something against policy. But a "serial marrier" is someone who marries what would be generally considered often (in excess of, say, three times) or who marries quickly then divorces quickly. Also, serial marriers seem to marry when others might have just dated. Although I've certainly heard the term before, I deliberated on using the term to make sure it was legit, and after consulting a couple sites (including dictinary.com to ensure that "marrier" is indeed a word), I felt it was a legitimate term. For a article on a novel about a serial marrier, go here.--Esprit15d 19:53, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
- As I interpret things, creating a category in good faith is never against policy. A Google search for the phrase "serial marrier" only returns 99 unique matches, so there is a possibility this category might be deleted as a neologism or another reason. You may want to read Wikipedia:Categorization and Wikipedia:Categorization of people and follow some of the discussion on WP:CFD to see why various categories are kept or deleted. - I'm not totally sure what an interwiki link is. I thought that was if you linked one wiki source, say wikipedia, to another wiki source (like wiktionary). Regardless, that wasn't my intent if I did. If I did so, I did so unwittingly.

Hananiah
You proposed that Hananiah be moved to Hananiah (Biblical figure). However, there are multiple Biblical figures named Hananiah: One in the book of Daniel (mainly in chapters 1-3) and one in the book of Jeremiah (mainly in chapter 28). Edit summaries
Hi, please consider using edit summaries. I see that a lot of your edits do not have an edit summary, and some have short ones. It is helpful to other editors, RC patrol and yourself to use edit summaries. This way we know what change is being made, especially for those watching out for vandalism or have certain pages on their watchlist. See Wikipedia:Edit summaries for some information on this. Phish cleanup
Thank you for your contributions to the Phish talk page and to the article. You made a lot of really good edits today, but unfortunately, you made them to an old version of the page. There is at least one anon user who keeps reverting to the pre-cleanup version. Several users have been keeping an eye on this and reverting his/her disruption. No one got to it before you started working on the page, with the result that all of the work that has been done since cleanup began is lost in the current version. The ideal solution would be to apply your edits to the last "legit" version [3]. I'm not sure how to go about this, because your edits were based on different text. Would you take a look at that last version and see what you think about the feasibility of applying your recent edits to it? Psora 22:40, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

Copyvios
Hi there. I see you've caught some copyright infringements lately, which is great. When you add the {copyvio} tag to the article, it is important to remove all the text. Redirects
Just so you know, if you find an article X which consists of nothing more than a link to article Y (such as Ogwen Valley), you shouldn't mark it for speedy deletion; rather, you should convert it to a redirect, as follows:
#redirect [[Y]]

Infoboxes, etc.
You've been adding an old version of the album infobox to articles on singles, and centering tables. If you want to add infoboxes, could you add the (up to date) singles version? Tables should be left-aligned (centering is out of keeping with the thousands of articles in existence, and looks odd, as nothing else (headings, etc.) is centered). Thanks.

Notinasnaid accomplished this; unfortunately, my edit went through one minute later, and MediaWiki didn't alert me to any edit collisions. I removed your speedy tag from 20 g$ -- it does state that he's a rapper and has released an album, so A7 doesn't appear to apply. I realize you uploaded my 5 stars for 4 star usage. But I would like you to know that I uploaded those images under Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 license, and you violated the terms by releasing your modified images under PD and not giving any attributions; therefore, the images you uploaded will be considered for deletion in Commons. Pages not in English
Hi, surprisingly, pages not in English are not automatically candidates for speedy deletion, they should be tagged with {{notenglish}} instead. Of course, if they are copyvio they can be speedied for that reason. Kappa 20:19, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

U.N.A. Frontiers
Hi, I'm Monique MacNaughton, author of U.N.A. Frontiers, which is a Modern Tales-affiliated webcomic (Graphic Smash). One of the strip's regular readers edited an entry for it that already existed as a blank page because its parent site, Graphic Smash, was already listed with the link in place and he decided to do a good deed and add some info. I wasn't aware of it, but I don't mind anyone doing it as long as the information is accurate. I give blanket permission for anyone to post a summary and several small images to any entry on this site concerning U.N.A. Frontiers or any other work of mine for the purpose of informational listing. Thank you.
Cricket
I don't believe you are interested in cricket and you evidently do not have the patience or the sense to wait until a new article has been fully formatted before you try and delete it. I had momentarily lost my template and saved the article temporarily till I found it.
See what the article looks like now and how it compares with the others in the series.
Unless you are a member of the WikiProject Cricket, I suggest you keep away from new cricket articles and let the responsible members of the project sort them out, as we have been doing consistently for the last two or three years.
People like you who think they are doing everyone a service by deleting anything and everything they do not understand should find something better to do away from Wikipedia.

- First of all I would like to say that I am sorry that I may have offended you or earmarked that article for deletion prematurely. But most, if not all, WP articles are looked at as soon as they are added in order to make sure they are in keeping with various wikipedia criteria. I did not "delete" your article; I marked it for deletion because it had more information about the Seven Years War than cricket. Marking an article for deletion allows persons to either (a) defend why it should be an article, or (b) make the needed adjustments for it to comply with wikipedia criteria. You did the latter by finding your template, and the article still exists. I've had numerous of my articles prematurely tagged for many reasons, and I'm sure it will happen again. That's the nature (for good or bad) of Wikipedia.--Esprit15d 17:11, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
Well, in my opinion people should not be allowed to mark anything for deletion until it has been on the site for at least a prescribed period of, say, 24 hours. I strongly disapprove of "deletionists". The purpose of Wikipedia is to promote knowledge and encourage the creation of articles. --Jack 20:19, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for helping me in the yellow tail (wine) article, I really appreciate your quick reformatting. However the brand name, "yellow tail" is purposly all lowercase (I dont know why) but that is how the vineyard uses their name.
