April 2016 edit

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Erolatccsgroup, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Drmies (talk) 03:29, 14 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Boing!, I have unblocked. Can you please file the proper paperwork, if any needs to be filed? Erol, I'm sorry, I didn't understand your username--that it means "Erol at CCS Group", which is indeed allowed (and as far as I'm concerned you don't have to change it. My apologies and Boing, thanks for your advocacy. Drmies (talk) 16:32, 14 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at CCS Group shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Erolatccsgroup. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article CCS Group, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. ScrpIronIV 14:54, 21 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. Mean as custard (talk) 16:14, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Erolatccsgroup. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Your only edits have had to do with CCS Group, and, now that CCS Group is being acquired by GPV International, with GPV International. Your username would appear to indicate an affiliate with CCS Group. Please make the required declaration as specified by the conflict of interest policy. April 2019 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Beeblebrox (talk) 19:14, 5 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
It's important that you understand that this is not a social media website or any other kind of site that exists for organizations to raise awareness or do "messaging" of any kind. This is an encyclopedia and as such it is vastly preferable that persons creating content actually have no connection whatsoever to the subjects they are writing about. Since I can see from this page that others have tried to explain this but you have just pressed on, seemingly not taking any of it on board, a block is in order unless and until you can accept these facts, and also declare any external financial relationship you have with an article subject, as it seems you work for CCS group.
