Hello, Erikrslagle. :) My note on that talk page was related primarily to the question of copying, as mentioned in the header of the discussion. That was the issue that was resolved.

In terms of the other tags, a look at [1] shows that the page is still an orphan, as it has no incoming links from other articles. Richel does not seem to be mentioned in the Union County College article, although he is mentioned in one of the references. To "de-orphan" the article, he would need to be discussed in and wikilinked from another article.

In terms of reference needs, there are whole sections in the article that have no citations at all. Even some of those that do are undercited. The "Honors and awards" section, for instance, claims seven awards and offers two citations. One of those citations is specific to the 7th award. The other is specific to the 4th award but confusingly cites the 5th. The other five awards have no citations.

One of Wikipedia's core policies for content is verifiability - that our readers should be able to verify for themselves that every piece of information on Wikipedia is accurate according to reliable sources. While obvious facts are not generally cited (we trust our readers will know that the sun is hot), they are nevertheless verifiable to reliable sources. Where a fact is not obvious - such as that somebody won an honor or award - citations are required. The best sources to verify information are generally peer-reviewed, unconnected sources, like magazine or newspaper articles or books from reputable publishers. Reliable industry websites are also generally reliable. The subject's own websites and publications are reliable for some things, but see WP:SPS. They are regarded as reliable sources for information about biographical details, such as place of birth, but not for extraordinary claims related to notability, such as awards. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:03, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
