Microsoft Expression Web
editHello, Latios
How do you do?
I have been reviewing your edit in Microsoft Expression Web and I noticed that you changed a stative verb from simple present tense to simple past. Of course, this is a rather common mistake but it is a mistake nonetheless. Please study MOS:COMPNOW to find out why.
If you have any question, please ask. I'll drop by.
Best regards,

dmy dates
editIt's great to see you introducing proper referencing templates to many of the New Zealand politics articles. It seems you are using a semi-automated process for that, and I thought to point out that this seems to be set to change the date format from dmy to mdy. I guess it's not a big issue as some clean-up processes can and will fix that over time, but if you can figure out what causes it and avoid it from happening, that would be better still. - I'm using the Visual Editor to automagically generate citations for the edits I've made, so I don't have to deal with WikiText
- It's as simple as pasting the url and clicking the Generate button, and it fills out the page title, date and author for me.
- I leave the dates as is from the automated process, if they are wrong please feel free to correct them.
- Anyways, we're in New Zealand so I would've thought we use dmy dates rather than the American mdy styled dates?
- Eric (talk) 04:02, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- That's my point. It should be dmy, and the editor you are using is changing it to mdy. Schwede66 19:03, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- The Visual Editor citation tool should use ISO date format, e.g. 2015-06-19, but it appears it only does this for those websites which have explicit support coded in it. For other websites, including I would expect all NZ ones, it appears to use the dates formatted as the website presents, and I think we're just going to have to live with this. I'm discussing this with James_F, one of the VE developers.-gadfium 23:06, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- I should have been more clear, that's what I was trying to convey. Perhaps a bug report is in order. Eric (talk) 23:29, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the various clarifications. It's not a big thing, as somebody will come along with a script at some point that tidies it all up again. Certainly keep your efforts up, Latios. Gadfium, it would certainly be good if VE could look for
{{use dmy dates}}
tags and apply the date format accordingly. Schwede66 23:36, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 6
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chronos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chronometer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
